It’s only my first time here, but we will be back. The enchiladas are AMAZING and then some!! It wasn’t just the enchiladas though. The sides were unique, packed with flavor and perfectly complimented what was already over the top good!!!

Take out / Drive Through also has covered deck with picnic tables! Definitely the most delicious brisket! Enjoyed sides of cabbage, Mac and Cheese, pinto beans and loaded potatoes! Highly recommended!

I'm surprised I hadn't heard of this place until a couple of weeks ago, since they have been around for over two years, and it's so close! My wife and I decided to make the 30-minute drive to Wharton, and we're so glad we did. This is just a little place with a covered patio as the dining area, but don't let that fool you because this place is great. I had a two-meat plate with my traditional brisket and jalapeño sausage first meal. I had mac&cheese and a potato casserole as my sides. Homemade pickles and pickled red onions are free and recommended. My wife decided to try something different and got their brisket nachos. Everything was great! The brisket was the very tender, melt-in-your-mouth variety (even the bark was moist)! The sausage was homemade and larger than the normal links that you get at other places. It was very good and I liked that it wasn't over-the-top spicy. Both of my sides were well above average. My wife's nachos were also outstanding. The base of the "nachos" are freshly fried spiral potatoes, instead of corn chips. They are topped with shredded brisket, nacho cheese, sour cream, and BBQ sauce. They are more than a meal for one person, and I liked that there were so many flavors that not every bite was the same. The service was a little slow, but only because, just as we showed up, two other larger parties showed up at the same time, but it wasn't anything to really complain about. Somebody at another table ordered a sandwich called The Duke, which looked incredible. I'm not exactly sure what was on it, besides sausage, but it was the tallest meat sandwich I have ever seen. He said it was incredible, and I look forward to getting that next time I make that drive out to Wharton. That won't be too far in the future! Did I say it was under $20/person? That's pretty reasonable for good BBQ these days.

Take it from me, my wife and I really got our grub on at Damon's. Every selection of meat was cooked to perfection. We had a three meat plate with chicken, brisket and turkey. For our sides we chose the macaroni with cheese and ribbon fries.

The food is amazing!!! Today I ordered the salad with Turkey. The turkey was moist and delish. I usually won’t order turkey at restaurants because it’s dry. This is my new favorite! My family had the smash burger basket and the brisket plate!! It’s been my experience that everything on the menu is amazing and you can’t go wrong with anything you choose! Edited update: I had the pastrami Sunday and oh my lanta you cannot go wrong!!! I failed to mention the service previously. Damon’s BBQ will treat you like family! They are always so kind, with smiles, and will go out of their way to make sure you are happy!!!

Stopped on my way back to Matagorda from Houston. I got the 2 meat plate with both types of potatoes. Brisket was so moist and sausage could have been cut with a plastic knife. I did not use the BBQ sauce for most bits because the flavor was so good. Onion potatoes had bacon in them and were done well. Baked potato casserole was a cheesy delight. I could only finish half of my meal. I recommend stopping if they are open. They gave me mine in a to go box, but I ate some on the covered porch at the picnic tables before I left.

WOW, EXCELLENT! The lean brisket was amazing, and the ribs were fall-off-the bone tender. Tried both of the sausage, also excellent. I loved the coleslaw and OMG the Mac & Cheese! These folks know what they're doing. Will definitely be back.
