The salsa has flavor. The food has flavor. I had the enchiladas rancheras and my husband had the enchiladas diner. It exceeded my expectations!

Every time I have been here, their food is consistent and delicious. Best Mexican food in Wharton that I have tried.Still the same amazing food and service now in 2023.
Kid-friendliness: I have eaten here with my kids and without them. The informal atmosphere makes me comfortable either way.
Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely accessible for wheelchairs from their handicapped parking.

Best Mexican Breakfast place in the area. It's difficult to find authentic Mexican food in this area. When you think you're lost, you're about to find it. I tried some diner by the highway but had a bad experience. I'm glad that happened so that we could find this "classic" Mexican themed eatery.

My mom and I stopped in 45 minutes before the restaurant closed at 2 pm, like it usually does. What a great choice, although the first batch of chips were a little stale, the salsa was thick and perfectly spicy. She ordered the street al pastor taquitos, which were five soft tacos with avocado slices, grilled onions, cilantro, and cotija cheese. An awesome bowl of charro beans was in the middle! I had the Tex Mex burrito, smothered in tasty cheesy sauce with pico de gallo on the side, containing shredded chicken, rice and beans. The service was pleasant and the weekday atmosphere was calm, surrounded by a quiet neighborhood.
Great little spot, everything was delicious ?, ate breakfast 2 days in a row.. homemade corn tortillas are the best I ever had..... ?
Dietary restrictions: I'm gluten intolerant, so the homemade corn tortillas were a great option from the regular flour tortillas..

I give this establishment a 5 star rating because there was nothing wrong with this place! I had gotten a simple breakfast plate and everything was delicious. Food was good, service was fast and friendly, music playing in the background brought back memories from the past. I will be coming back and trying new items from the menu.
