I was delivering some feed and stopped at Maxey’s Steakhouse. I ask the waitress what she would recommend and it was the Shisko Kbob’s for me. It was delicious. They make their own rolls. The salad bar was excellent also. My tea glass never went empty, that’s my pet peeve. This is a small town restaurant and I enjoyed just watching people visiting with other tables. I will definitely stop the next time I’m around that part of Texas.

I took a group of 10 to Maxeys today for a business lunch. Service was friendly and helpful, we had steak, salmon, catfish and burgers. The food was delicious and they have the best onion rings I've had in a long time. Will be going back.

First time I have ordered from y'all in a few years. I ordered tacos al carbon. No beans. No rice. Got home, I had beans and rice but no pico or sour cream. Thankfully my neighbor had brought me some guacamole sauce. I substituted it for the pico. The tacos are as good as ever. The cook needs to get the orders right .

Average taste got multiple items wrong with the order, had to ask multiple times for order and drink after they had already ordered it. 2.50 for ranch with a sub-optimal container maybe an inch across. Also had to wait a very long time for silverware. We sat and waited a very long time for drinks and after all that they forgot to bring 4 people their drinks and messed up on multiple orders
Food and service were both great. My wife craves the Maxey's Special (beef tips seasoned with curry) so the 30 minute drive is worth it
