So happy to have found this spot! We were coming off a really long road trip and had checked into our hotel down the street around 7. I walked in to Sunset Cafe at 7:10 when they closed at 8 and I asked if I could still place a carry out order. The staff WARMLY assured me it was no problem at all and even made a custom sandwich for us. The food was great and the three working were all so lovely. Thanks again!
As far as I know, this is the only soft-serve ice cream in Wheeler County. We were initially only going to get soft-serve, but decided that if we didn't eat, we'd end up eating supper really late. I'm glad we decided to eat at the Sunset Diner! My husband had the combo burrito and really enjoyed it. I had a taco salad. We definitely will be back!
We stopped by on the way to Wheeler and I have to say they had some amazing food. Their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was amazing and they were so nice and thoughtful. 100% recommend a quick stop here and will be back when we are passing through again!
