Spent a pleasing, quite Valentines dinner here. Food was great and definitely will be back. It's nice to dine in a place where one can actually talk.

Bland below average food. The salad is a small plate of iceberg lettuce. Service is not very friendly.

There were a total of 6 of us that traveled a great distance on Saturday night to try this restaurant because we read all the great reviews. When we get there, there were only two other people in the restaurant. The hostess seated us and took our order. We asked about pizza and she told us they were out of pizza dough (on Saturday night??). Next, we asked what was her best seller. She said it was the chicken alfredo. So 3 of us ordered that dish. Two of us ordered the chicken piccata and one ordered the chicken parmesan. The waitress brought our rolls which were hot and tasty but NO butter. We asked for butter and were told they were out of butter. One of our group asked "how do you cook without butter?" But I guess she did not hear the question because we got no answer. She brought our teas and we asked for lemons and were told they were out of lemons. When the food came the chicken piccata sauce was so oily and very very thin. It was more like a broth than a sauce. Chicken Piccata is prepared with a lemon sauce (it should coat the back of a wooden spoon). The lemon brings out the freshness and brightness to the flavors to the chicken and capers. Our chicken piccata had NO flavor at all. This is due to being out of Lemons (I suspect). The chicken Alfredo when served had a sauce very thin and much of it. The sauce looked more like cream of chicken soup and very thin and yellow. When picked up the fettucinne with a fork, all the sauce ran off the pasta. The taste was not bad but definitely not the classic cream sauce that clings to the pasta and chicken. This is definitely NOT 5 Star dining. We will NOT be returning.

Just came in today to try the meat lasagna and it was the best I’ve ever had. Nice to enjoy some authentic Italian cuisine. Will be back to try the pizza.

This place is a 10/10! Absolutely a hidden gem here in ETX. I love Italian food, and this is by far the best chicken parm I have ever had. The salad was a little boring but the fresh baked bread make up for it. I would 100% come back, try it for yourself!

This is a late post from Thursday, but I wanted to share. Via Italia has been mentioned many times on here; it's located @ 311 South White Oak Rd. in White Oak, TX. DON'T I REPEAT DON'T be deterred by the convenience store/gas station that it sits by. THIS PLACE IS A GEM FOR SURE. The atmosphere was relaxing, the environment was inviting, and the chef Armon was the best!!! He'll suggest his meals to you, and tell you what's in them. OMG He's been on Master Chef, and cooked for Chef Gordon Ramsey in Hell's Kitchen on the Las Vegas strip. GO SEE HIM; YOU'LL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. You can take your own bottle of wine. He only does pizza on Fridays and Saturdays. Most of everything is HOMEADE; he'll explain this to you. His seasoning can't be topped IMO. I've tried several authentic Italian restaurants, but Armon's food is the best!!! He had me with the best homemade house salad dressing, fresh homemade cheese, the best sauce and bread that literally melts in your mouth. I had the meat sauce spaghetti which he suggested I try instead of his meatballs ( due to all the flavors he bring together), my husband had the best lasagna that I/weve ever tasted. The place was empty because we drove over just before he closed; he accommodated, didn't rush us, and was just the best chef I've ever encountered. I HOPE YOU ALL WILL TAKE HEED AS I DID AND JUST GO!!! Thanks ATL for recommending Via Italia Restaurant on here months ago. We will return and also make this our date night place. ???Parking: I was curious to know where do you park when there are many people; we went right before closing so we didn't have a problem. I don't know if you park on the side or where.

Loved the fresh made food, and the service was great. Only wish more people visited them more, to me it was only slightly hard to spot from the road it's located on. Definitely would go back when I visit home again!

I asked for a medium pizza and the man made me a large! It's so good! Such nice people who make food with love. Authentic Italian food! By real Italian hardworking people! Can't wait to come back when I can actually dine in, as I was in a rush. Beautiful music and atmosphere. Love it.

I was skeptical because it is joined next to a gas station. Beef raviolis were great and my coworker got the spaghetti and meat sauce. They have a cool brick oven style that they use to cook the pizzas and Italian dish. Overall I was extremely happy with our visit and will be back again when we are in town.
