Belzoni's Catfish Cafe

I'm from Mississippi & had been longing for some whole catfish nearby! This place is a hidden gem! Give it a try, food was hot, seasoned well, and they had great customer service!

This is by far the worst experience in a diner I have ever had!!! They were rushing us to place and order. We were just trying to browse the menu and to get a feel for the atmosphere. The fried pickles were oily and had way too much cornmeal. I had the waiter come and get them and the owner came over with an attitude instead of trying to see if there was something else we would want to order. He then asked if we were going to order in a very impatient and rude way, so we were about to pay for the drinks and just to get us out of there, he told us to take the drinks! I would not recommend this establishment to anyone!!! It felt like I was in Mississippi during the times of segregation!!! He also came outside while we were getting in our car!!! We were not talking to him, but to another unhappy customer who was getting in their car. Last I checked, we still have our Freedom of Speech to comment on anything we want- anytime we want! 😡😡😡😡😡Never again!!!!

Daughter wanted catfish and I suggested this place and they did not disappoint. Food came out hot and fresh.

Fish filets are huge!! Fried when you order so very fresh. Okra was a little overcooked but still yummy. Mac & cheese was yummy! Can't wait to try Mississippi pot roast & etouffee.

What a great and relaxing atmosphere! The food touches your SOUL and tastes great! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you go and enjoy your own experience. Very well worth it!

I wish I had found this place sooner. The fish was fried perfectly. The okra and greens were spot on. I haven’t had a fish dinner this good since my mom or mema fixed it. ?

Very friendly & attentive! The Mac & cheese was great! Greenbeans & turnip greens were good too. Husband loved the catfish. I'm not crazy about it in general but did like the batter they used & the fact that it was cooked perfectly. The filets are a true filet & not tiny strips you usually get from other places.

This place is a hidden gem for sure. The service was so nice and welcoming. The fish was fresh and so good. Seasoned just right. The owner was very friendly and attentive to everyone that came in. I will definitely be back.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Five stars for the Owner Dwight and his outstanding team at Belzoni's. I have a lot of food allergies, so he and his staff went out of their way to make sure my order was cooked to perfection. What a fun, casual place to enjoy amazing food.
