Montez Creekside Kitchen

Very disappointed in our take out with this restaurant. My husband and I got tacos since that is their special today with two margaritas. Got home - tacos were ice cold, rice was bland as well as the beans. We didn't even mention that because we were starving and ate the food anyways after doing yardwork. But the margaritas were watered down, and the two of them barely filled one glass. Poured down the drain.

So we talked with the staff over the phone to which they agreed to remake the drinks. Thought everything was cool! My husband drove all the way back up to the restaurant and was told he needed to pay for them to get new ones because the bartender I guess thought we were trying to rip them off. Ridiculous - if you're going to charge $46 bucks for tacos and margaritas - they'd better be worth it. These were not, and the customer service was even worse. Can't imagine a bad review is worth two margaritas!

I guess they can no longer get cheese for their chicken nachos - we've ordered two orders of these three times now and received no cheese, even with special requests - no cheese on nachos?? Wow!

We order take out here of various foods fairly regularly, although a lot less often now than we used to because their food quality has gone down - they started off fantastic, but have fizzled out. It's really sad and unfortunate. Whitehouse is so lacking in great restaurants. Add Montez to the list.

I have always loved eating at Montez since it opened. Recently I was brought the wrong food, the wrong drink twice. Our waitress was not apologetic or helpful and we waited 10 minutes just on silverware. We waited almost an hour for our food. I was told there was no manager on site but that I could come back the next day. As I was leaving the hostess followed me out of the restaurant yelling at me and my daughter that I could come back the next day if I wanted to complain. Very unprofessional! Montez is expensive and I just asked if one of my drinks could be taken off my tab. I didn't asked for my food to be taken off just a single drink. I was told they couldn't take it off without a managers approval. I paid my $150.00 Mother's day dinner tab even though I was brought what I didn't order. I left my name and number for the manager to call me when she returned. It's been two days and no phone call. I will not be back and it saddens me because this has been one of favorite places to eat in Whitehouse!

The salmon was excellent the garden salad is very large and good with great margaritas.

The crowd, the food, the staff was amazing!

Great local place. I’ve only ordered the sirloin steak and shrimp pasta , both were great!

This place is horrible! I stopped by on a Friday lunch and sat at the bar! The bartender was VERY slow! I was the only person sitting at bar. She either needs a lot of training or 2 people working bar area if she couldn’t keep up with her task and serving customers as well!! She just seemed so LOST!! Would not recommend at all! I was planning on ordering food to eat but couldn’t even get a drink sitting at bar with me being the only person! Will never go back!!

Not very impressed, food was OK, but drinks were just bad. Not sure if it was the mix or the bartender, tried three different drinks on the menu, all were bad. Play it safe and go with the bottled beer!!!

My family and I had never been here. Sitting down next to the kitchen was out first turn off. Being greeted by an astronomically over priced menu, filled with entree's that did not clearly explain if they came with sides for the prices second turn off. Paying $10 for what was supposed to be queso and chips final turn off. We didn't pay for it, we got up and left :) not ordering food from the overpriced menu. Very sad that people in Whitehouse are subjected to this simply because of their location. Totally taking advantage of people. $8 for a side salad? $37 for a NY strip and mashed potato's? Go to Dakota's people!

We ordered off menu, requesting Veggie Tacos. The tacos were delicious and filled with a plentiful variety of vegetables. They would be 5 star if they had added some kind of sauce or cheese to them, they were a bit bland without it, I requested some salsa and that helped. The rice and beans were good as well. Nice place. Great patio and great service!

Vegetarian options: They sure could use some vegetarian options, they will work with you though if you ask. Some spinach or veggie enchiladas or quesadillas would be a simple addition. ?

We were seated next to the kitchen, and charred smoke would hang in the air around our booth during the meal. It was annoying because that's all we could smell. The host opened the front door, but then the setting sun blasted me in the eyes and had to wear my sunglasses to eat.
The food is pretty good but I can't remember what we ate because of all the smoke we had to deal with.
