We love Beggers! Everything is always fresh and flavorful. Their short rib burger, sometimes offered on Fridays, are a sellout! If you haven't eaten here, we highly recommend it. The service is great, and always friendly.
Someone picked up food for me from here on New Year’s Eve. When everything was closed, I got a sandwich and then I got a salad for the next day and then I have a yummy piece of carrot cake, I wish I could go and sit down there because I understand it looks clean and very quaint, I really liked my turkey sandwich. There was a really interesting sauce on there that made it kind of hot which I loved, the broccoli salad is premium. The macaroni salad is great and I got a salad and their homemade blue cheese dressing, that’s something rare to find. Thanks.
We love Beggers. The food is always fresh. My favorite sandwich is the Birdie and their hamburgers are the best ever. You get a side with your order, so price point is pretty much spot on in comparison to other places, the difference is, the you are getting better quality and fresher veggies. I haven’t mentioned how nice everyone is and makes you feel welcome when you come in. Also, don’t forget dinner once a week. It’s amazing.
What a find! Excellent sandwiches! Hubby had the Cow tipping sandwich and I had the Blazin turkey sandwich with Jalapeño mayo (little bit of a kick but really delicious). Great atmosphere, reasonable pricing and with delightful staff. Walked it off doing a little shopping downtown. 😉

This was hard to answer….9 months ago the answer would be FOR SURE and as for taste I would still recommend. But today I have to say price wise a BIG no. I ordered half a sandwich, a side of pesto pasta, and a large sweet tea. The sweet tea was a 16oz cup and 9 months ago it was bigger. My total was $15.60. I just don’t see an almost $20 value in half a sandwich, a side, and a kid size drink regardless of the taste.
I went with The Cowgirl Club — smoked tri-tip, bacon, lettuce, and tomato stacked between toasted sourdough — and let’s just say this big burly guy was grinning the whole time. My wife had The Good Boy, piled high with tri-tip, avocado, sprouts, and mayo on a sourdough roll, and I almost asked for a trade halfway through.
Everything was fresh, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care. Friendly staff, laid-back atmosphere, and sandwiches that absolutely overdeliver. Whitesboro might be small, but Beggars is putting it on the map one bite at a time.

I know I’m the minority here but I’ve been to beggars twice now. I’m not a fan….. 1st time with family: descent sandwiches, descent service. Way overpriced for what we got…. Family even commented that it was way overpriced. Second time: Ordered 1/2 club sandwich. They said they couldn’t do the 1/2 club on advertised bread. Agreed on a different bread. Received a roast beef with 3 tiny pieces of meat. Not even the sandwich I ordered. Full sandwich was $14. I paid $20 for a 1/2 sandwich, a glass of tea and a bag of chips… Asked about it and they didn’t even offer to correct. I Ordered 1/2 and it was $11 for one piece of bread and 3 pieces of roast beef that I didn’t even order.. 66.6% of my order was incorrect. The sweet tea was correct… maybe it was an off day, maybe it was miscommunication. Either way I’ve had 2 negative experiences out of 2 visits. I’m sure many people love this place, I’m just not one of them. I can go 2 blocks west and get better food at a price more reflective to the quality.
The best sandwiches, sides, desserts, salads and the soups 🥹🥹✨✨ I love this place!

Beggars catered an open house for us. They catered two days and we got RAVE reviews about the food from our visitors. The sandwiches are absolutely gourmet quality! The combination of ingredients are astounding - definitely the best I’ve had. Go have one!

Passing through Whitesboro and came across “Beggers” on Main St. through an online search.
Looking for lunch but wanted something a bit different than the chain restaurants.
This place was uniquely amazing. The sandwiches were crafted to perfection and offered a flavor explosion compared with the tired old usual lunch sandwich. I had the Birdie with a side of broccoli salad and my wife had the Green Gobbler with a bag of chips. I also got a piece of vanilla cheesecake to go.
The food was delicious and I would highly recommend this place if you are passing through or live in the area. We will be back!

Very happy to run into this little gem open on Monday when so many others are closed. Helpful and kind staff and delicious food! The prices are appropriate for the high level of freshness. The decor is simple and clean. Some may consider it sparse, but I’d rather enjoy a great meal engaged in conversation with family or friends than pay for eye candy distractions from a corporate designer! They are focused on what they do - and they do it very well. Can’t wait to visit again!
