Food was delicious,very tasty but waitress wasn't attentive poor service asked for sauces didnt get any till food was gone never came to check if we needed refills or anything. very quiet other than all staff talking among each other in a corner very empty very few people so no reason for our waitress to not take care of us also bathroom wasnt clean so yes I skip going.Be Better want be back there again.

We did not have a good experience. The waitress’ tone was off when taking our order. Not only was her tone off, she took our order wrong and didn’t include the kids meal we needed. After waiting 30+ minutes, our food finally came and we had to remind the other waitress that food was missing then she had to send our waitress back to our table to fix the issue. Instead of coming to the table and resolving the issue, she talked to us from a distance and asked what the issue was. I proceeded to share my food with my kid because she kept asking where her food was. We then had to wait even longer for her food to be done and just ended up getting her food to go. We weren’t to only ones with an issue either. The table behind us had to ask where the waitress was and that they’ve been waiting as well. So, if you’re looking to get comfortable bite with great service this is not the place to go.

I've eaten here once before with basically the same experience and we'd promised never again but my father gave us gift cards. I'm a mom of 2 under 2 and had managed to get the babies watched so my husband and I could go. We were seated and was waiting for about 10 to 15 minutes for our server. My husband and I ordered the appetizer variety plate and waters to start. The appetizer plate took almost 30 minutes to come out. My husband had completed his water and it was just after the server brought out the food before she refilled it. She ended up yelling to us from the bar area sorry for the wait that she'll be right there. But she was more interested in socializing. I then ordered an 11$ cranberry mixed drink and a steak and shrimp with green beans and potatoes and my husband ordered a full rack of ribs. We were waiting for about another 30 minutes. Our food came out and looked like it had just been siting in the window as our plates were hot the sauce on my husband's ribs had started thickening and drying and my green beans were so over cooked I could have fed them to by 6m old, by taste they felt like they were from a can. And my cranberry cocktail? Completely forgotten about until I asked about it while people at the bar were able to get their beers, I'd wanted to say if I ordered a beer would I have gotten my drink but decided against it. I did eventually get the cocktail. It wasn't until we were finished eating before she checked in again. Since we wanted to use up the gift cards so we'd never have to come back my husband ordered a cinnamon roll plate and it was smaller than described so we ordered 2 (one to take for our mom since she was watching the kids) I had told her I was going to order a 2nd drink and to please come back in 5 min. It was about 10 to 15 when she brought out the rolls (that's when my husband ordered the 2nd one) that I was actually able to order the 2nd drink, didn't feel even a little bit of the alcohol. In all our bill was 109$ and some change. And the entire time from start to finish was 2 hours. We did not stay and chat, And my husband and I woke up feeling gross and I felt sick after eating.

Awkward guy food reviews

Let's be honest, Applebee's isn't exactly known for culinary innovation, but even with lowered expectations, our recent visit left much to be desired. From the moment we walked in, the air hung thick with a sense of… inefficiency. Despite the restaurant being largely empty, finding someone to seat our group proved to be a minor quest.

Once seated (at a disappointingly sticky table ), we placed our drink orders. And then we waited. Twenty minutes later, beverages finally arrived, a feat considering the bartender seemed more invested in socializing than slinging cocktails. One drink was incorrect, but the addition of a candy garnish offered a small consolation prize.

Moving onto the appetizers, the mozzarella sticks presented a mixed bag. The cheese pull? Absolutely satisfying, a true Instagram-worthy moment. The flavor? Utterly bland. They were essentially vehicles for marinara sauce, and frankly, even the sauce couldn't fully rescue them. Adding insult to injury, one member of our party, who has a dairy sensitivity and specifically ordered pretzel breadsticks, was presented with… a Cascadia. A completely different, and dairy-laden, item. Need I say more?

The main courses proved equally inconsistent. My wings were drowning in sauce, a glorious, saucy mess that I personally enjoyed. However, another diner's wings were practically naked, begging for even a meager drizzle. To add to the chaos, the third order of wings appeared to be a flavor roulette, a bizarre medley of random sauces that left the recipient utterly bewildered.

Throughout the entire ordeal, it seemed as though the entire restaurant was being run by a single, beleaguered individual. While we appreciate their hard work, splitting up a small group and suffering excessive delays does not excuse from providing a satisfactory dining experience.

The Verdict:

Applebee's offered a perplexing and ultimately disappointing experience. While there were fleeting moments of enjoyment – the cheese pull, my saucy wings – the overall execution was sloppy and inconsistent. The slow service, incorrect orders, sticky table, and seemingly random sauce application paint a picture of a restaurant struggling with quality control and staffing. Unless you're desperately craving a particular dish and armed with an abundance of patience, you might be better off exploring other dining options.

Went there 4:30p on Fri. before Easter, not busy, got seated with drink order. Got 2 for $30 meals with appetizer. Spinach-artichoke dip and chips was great. Got 2 half orders of ribs with BBQ sauce and garlic mashed potatoes. Potatoes were also great but ribs were obviously left-over from previous day. They were not hot, texture was dry and leathery. Since it was very early in the evening the ribs should have been juicy and tender but they weren't. Told the waiter but I doubt anything will be done. We were celebrating a personal triumph but this meal was not the right one for that. Corporate responded that the location would contact us. Manager of location did ask if a digital gift card would be ok. I responded sure. One month later nothing. Don't go to this restaurant if you want something good for your hard earned money!!
I 've travelled extensively throughout US and this Applebee's is rated lowest in my opinion!!

Checked back 6-24-25, no response from Wichita Falls management. Even though main office said to reach out, there will be no effort to correct poor food or service. DON'T GO THERE!!

BTW - no gift card as of 11-9-25. Just because they respond doesn't mean you will get anything for bad service. They must hire the worst mgrs of the worst!! Sray way away, including Veterans' Day. I'm a vet!

My friend and I went for lunch today 7/10/25. We waiting to be seated but no one acknowledge us so we sat down. The staff were going back and forth but never came over. 15 minutes later we got up and left. I let the manager know but they acted surprised. I know sometimes places aren't fully staffed but at least acknowledge people and say I'll be right with you. I hate pulling the race card but we were the only people of color there. Someone walked in after us and got seated and brought drinks as we sat there. Im super disappointed! I'll never go there again!!! 😡
