Backporch Drafthouse

We visited around 2 PM and were disappointed with the experience. They were out of the French dip and Miller Lite on tap, which we had been looking forward to. Unfortunately, the service was also poor. Our waitress seemed more interested in socializing with friends than attending to her tables. This visit has made us reconsider returning. We hope the management addresses these issues to improve the dining experience. I would not recommend spending your time or money here.

Place is not very popular, I don’t think. I’m not sure I’m not from Wichita Falls, but when we went, our service was really good. We got seated quickly and our food came out in a matter of 10 to 15 minutes, the Texas style scenery was amazing and the TVs had baseball games on and I think some weird show, I was really just fantasizing about food ?... and when the food came it did not disappoint, and again the service was great. The lady who served us deserve a raise! She was the sweetest soul. We went on my mom‘s birthday, and she was really pleased by it (which is surprising because she usually wants something specific lol..) anyways thank you Backporch Drafthouse for being amazing.

Parking: There are many places around there that have a bunch of people and take over Backporch Drafthouse’s parking spots. That may cause conflicts with being able to park and get food at backporch.

The food was good. The service was a bit slow as was my food and I only ordered a plate of wings and a salad. I got my salad much later then a family that was seated after me. They were almost done eating by the time I got my food. My server was friendly but the other staff wouldn't look at me and the manager spoke to everyone but me. It was just a really weird vibe. The hummingbird cake was delicious. Although for $40 I was expecting a bit more from my meal.

Lyza is the best person that has EVER served or bartended ANYWHERE. She knows what I want when I arrive and doesn’t need me to tell her. She asks, but only if I change my decision. I wish she would be here everyday, ALL day.

Everything was going so well. Then, my dad ordering a beer from the bar, the bartender repeatedly asked why did he want & that she did not want him there. AFTER, my dad paid for his beer that was ALREADY there. As my dad was just waiting for his change, he was met with seems as racism. We spent well over $300 in the past two days with our family visiting my little sister, who is living on base. If you’re of Mexican/Hispanic race , don’t bother yourself coming to this last resort establishment. Not worth their salty/unflavored food & high priced drinks. The mediocrity of this small town establishment speaks LOUDLY of this small town.

Expecting to be able to watch the Dallas game on Sunday. The TV's have streaming issues. I went to the car, got my iPad and set it on the bar. The beer isnt really cold. I had a Yuengling Draft beer, I then switched to diet Coke. They served it to me in a plastic cup. Really? With two of us, we ordered appetizers to share. We ordered the "Real Nacho's" with brisket. They were cold, not even warm. Everything on them was cold, so maybe they come cold? So, we ordered the Fried Mushrooms. They came out hot...and very fried. With 12 little button tops, we didnt eat all of them, too hard. They were over fried. We orderd a dozen wings, classic sauce. The were very tiny. Once again, the food was cold and all of the wings but two, were flats. We didnt eat all of these either. The food did not meet any expectations. But what we did expected more, was being able to watch the Dallas game. I think due to the streaming issues due to subscription limits, there was ample seating. If you're wanting to watch the game at a sports bar. There are better options where the TV's work and the food is edible.

Ordered to go order. Arrived 5" after time posted to be ready for pick up. Waited 35" before food was ready. Went to car and checked order. Had 3 orders Brisket Frito pie. No Brisket in any of the 3. Went back in to get brisket. Waited another 25" and got brisket after finally asking for a manager. Manager very nice and gave $25 gift certificate. Overall was at restaurant ~ 1 hr to pick up to go order. Arrived home over an hour later than expected time to have dinner.

First off, the food was really good! Good var food, zero complaints... However, we were deciding whether to wait at bww or go come here. We drove here, asked if the packers eagles game was on and was assured that it was. Took roughly 1 hour to get the game on. If your looking for good food this is a good bet but I would not come back to watch sports
