Service was a bit slow. Tap water had a strong alkaline taste to it, which locals probably don’t notice. We ordered chicken and waffles with Nashville hot sauce. The sauce was awesomely hot, but did not enjoy the rest of the dish, as everything was simply too greasy. My partner ordered the ‘Karat classic combo’, it was ok, with the exception of a biscuit. It was just dry compressed dough, wasn’t really edible.
We had breakfast here while visiting Wichita Falls. We had great food and service and enjoyed the atmosphere of this old jewelry store.
Good food and service.
We came into town to take our daughter out to brunch this past Sunday(10/24). My daughter has a disability and requires a service dog. The manager informed her that she could not be seated inside the restaurant. We informed him that him not allowing a service animal inside the restaurant was against they law but he rudely was not interested in learning this. We left as I would gladly take my business to a place that respects those with disabilities, service animals or any special needs! I highly suggest all do! This was just unacceptable business practices and it’s taking me til today to write this review as I was just shocked this occurred.
Great food if a bit pricey
During a business trip to Wichita Falls from Fort Worth my colleague and I enjoyed a great lunch experience today when Karat was recommended to us. It’s sad that so much of the downtown Wichita Falls area has declined and that there is very little traffic to support this unique restaurant. Located in the original Zales Jewelers building, it’s full of charm, including murals and some of the original fixtures from that store. The decor is eclectic with a fresh upscale vibe. The service is friendly and attentive. The menu choices were so very tempting it was hard to make our decisions. Karat’s Pick Two and Pick Three lunch options are very affordable and offer a lot of variety. I tried the beet salad and added chicken. It was amazingly delicious and perfectly lightly dressed. I ate every single bite! My dining partner raved about the Karat Club Sandwich with a fresh made chicken salad, bacon, avocado, tomato, romaine and. aioli on sourdough toast. We will definitely return the next time business brings us to Wichita Falls because we want to try some of the other creative choices on the menu, plus plan ahead to take some of the beautiful cupcakes home with us. Don’t miss Karat. It’s a real gem!
Thanks for the last minute, amazingly priced, beautiful little wedding cake! It was perfect for our night!
Variety of delicious sweets!
We enjoyed the guitar player and being outside on a beautiful evening. We were seated promptly and the server came quickly. After that it went downhill. 1/2 hour later we hadn’t yet received the drinks we ordered. 15 minutes after that we were told they were out of one of the three side dishes we ordered and were still waiting for. The server apologized and said the bar must have lost the ticket. She comped the cups of soups we had gotten. Disappointing.
Excellent menu, very good food. Dalmatian cupcake incredible. Good wine selection and very classy restaurant.

Omg I just went in got 6 cup cakes need I say more heaven on earth so good
I was excited last week to try food from Ganache. I bought a s’mores brownie, a big confetti cookie, and a loaf of sourdough bread. The bread was good, but it did not taste like sourdough. It tasted more like French bread or regular white bread. The cookie was terrible. It was dry, cakey, barely sweet, and tasted like it had way too much flour in it. My husband and I took a bite each and then threw it away. The brownie was also very dry, and we threw it away after a couple of bites as well. Maybe it was an off day, and there was a bad batch of the cookies and brownies. However, given how expensive and premium these desserts are supposed to be, I will not be purchasing anything else. It was about $11 for the cookie and brownie, and it was money thrown away.
