Great restaurant tucked back off the highway. My wife and I had their famous enchiladas smothered in chili. It was fantastic!

Waitress was nice and good. Food was a lil on the disappointing side. Went in around lunchtime wasn't packed. We didn't receive any BBQ sauce for ribs and any gravy for the chicken fried steak. Fries not the best.

So I like hitting little restaurants, mom and pop as it were. Pioneer NO.3 is pretty old school. Don't know if it's changed much since 1949 when it says it opened, don't even know if they've redone the parking lot... it's not a bad thing. You can get some semis in there. The service is what you would expect in a small town diner, not hovering over you, but very responsive.I had the Catfish Basket, 5 pieces light golden brown, tasted like corn meal with maybe a touch of flour, 3 hush puppies, and fries (also a light golden color). I wouldn't call the basket amazing, but it was solid. Had to get the onion rings, smaller in size and thickness, but not over cooked, moderate on the breading and the onion shined thru. All washed down with very nice sweet tea.All in all it was solid, but next time I come by I'll try the recommended fried steak, just because.

It's been about 45 years and I was only about 6, but I can still remember flipping through the in booth juke box and the great fries. Glad to see some good things haven't changed much.

On our way from Houston to Amarillo, we were ready for lunch when we hit Wichita Falls. We chose the first restaurant that popped up on our GPS that had a good rating. What a pleasant surprise! Food was great! Atmosphere was comfortable and quaint. The highlight was the owner, Brady Crumpler. A treasure of a man. He sat and visited with us for a bit. Gave us some interesting history and showed true interest in us. I highly recommend P3! We will definitely be back!

The the restaurant is more of a mom and Pop type establishment and in need of a few updates. Our waitress was very friendly very and attentive. We both ordered the small sirloin steak meal. My husband had the steak with peaches, and fries. My meal included the steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, and pinto beans. The beans tasted like canned ranch style beans, and the mashed potatoes tasted as if they were packaged potatoes. The steaks were very rubbery. Overall it was not a very nice pleasant meal. Many locals were stating the place was known for their enchilada plate, so it might be worth going back to try that but not sure.
