This is a nice place in terms of atmosphere. It is high end for pricing. I spent $500 for a party of 6 where only 1 ordered steak. The server was great, and the restaurant is nice, but the food was not even close to what should be expected of a high end restaurant. It is mediocre at best. I've visited this restaurant a handful of times since they've opened and the food is always disappointing.
We were impressed! I definitely recommend! We ordered the Tomahawk steak and a bunch of sides. The greens are a must try.
The restaurant needs to be darker for a better dinning experience after 5:00pm. The food is excellent and the service is great
We always love enjoying dinner at the Wellborn! An awesome date night dinner with great drinks, great food, and great atmosphere!
Very nice establishment for the city of Wichita Falls, the food was amazing. We went for an anniversary dinner and our server took the time to appreciate the event with us!
We've dined here before and always enjoyed it, but this visit was disappointing. Service was quite slow, and while our server was polite, he lacked efficiency and forgot a few things. The food wasn't as flavorful as usual—some dishes weren't cooked to the doneness we requested, and the produce didn't seem very fresh. Hoping it was just an off night, as we've had better experiences in the past.
Being a steakhouse means your go to order should be steak, right? Further being prime means high quality right? Wrong on both counts. Steak was tough as a boot, flavorless and undercooked. Blame the quality on the supplier. However chef is at fault for the latter two. I gave it 4 stars because the other three in my party enjoyed their meals (none ordered steak) and the house made it right on my bad experience.
update: The General Manager reached out, expressed sincere apologies, and emphasized his appreciation for my feedback, noting that constructive criticism helps them improve. This response showed a genuine commitment to maintaining the quality and service that Wellborn Steakhouse is known for. We will visit again. Disappointing Experience Despite High Expectations I’ve been to Wellborn Steakhouse before and had a great experience, which is why I recommended it for a recent lunch outing. Unfortunately, this visit fell short of expectations. I ordered the Barbacoa Rolls, and while they normally look beautifully plated, the quality just wasn’t there this time. . The flavors were lackluster, and the dish didn’t live up to the high standards I’ve come to associate with this restaurant. What added to the disappointment was the lack of accessibility to management. I tried to address my concerns during the visit but couldn’t get in touch with anyone who could help. As someone who has had good experiences here before, this was disheartening. I hope the restaurant can address these issues, as I know they are capable of delivering excellent food and service.
Pretty good food. I dislike eating at places that charge you for everything you order. Order a steak, you get a steak, no fries, no salad, no rolls. It is all extra. For 40 bucks throw in a few steak fries! Steak was cooked as ordered and it did have a very good garlic butter on top that added great flavor. It was in the lobby of the Delta hotel where we stayed so it was easy. Did dinner and breakfast both here while in town. Good food, but pretty pricey!

The food was absolutely divine. Nothing bad at all with the food. We had steak, salmon, and skillet cookie. Highly recommend. The ONLY reason I did not give this place a 5 star was because of our waiter. He started out nice but down hill from that. Never asked me if I wanted any more water, never asked if we wanted another beer, had to ask for a steak knife and when he brought it...he was carrying the cutting part in HIS HAND, we left plates on end of table for him to pick up but never got them then came with the check. I said we would like dessert please and he just grabbed the check and said ok. We moved all the plates out of way for dessert to come then he came over and said..."Give me those plates" in a hateful way. The other waitresses working the tables were wonderful so he may have just been having a bad night. Either way, must go to place.

My family and I was excepting a good steak and spend some money after 15 mins being seated got our waters, one of our waters came with lipstick and lemon seeds in the glass already. Waited for two alcoholic beverages for 20 mins. Waited about 40 mins on steaks after we’ve asked our waiter how much longer it’ll take he said he’ll go check but avoided our table after that. We then got up and paid for our drinks and left. Overall bad experience!! I would avoid this place!!!. Wasn’t even that busy and still waited over an hour. When you charge premium charges we excepted premium service. Ridiculous. This place is a joke.
