Didn’t even get to try the food. It says at their restaurant and online they close at 7. Went to go get some food from there at 5:30. Well they were closed. We waited and someone answered the door, we asked if they had something going on or if the times are wrong. They said no and that they closed early cause the person working had to be up at 3 Am for something. We asked if this was how they always run the store and the worker said they were the only one working and he’s closing early and that he had already gotten at two this morning. So after some talking we left. Very rude and unprofessional, that’s not how you run a restaurant or handle customers.

I love Menudo. I eat it every single chance I get.
Today I decided to try Luna’s Menudo. It’s not bad a little bit on the expensive side and for 16 bucks I think I should be able to get jalapeños and a normal sized lime wedges that will produce the lime juice needed for the meal. There wasn’t a lime at all in the other garnish cup. Pretty Meh -two stars.

The food here is always good, the staff were all super sweet and friendly. My family had a great time. The place feels a little emptier since the reopening but all in all a great place to have a great meal.

1/17/25 Was our first time visiting here we were in town for a fishing trip , saw the place thought we'd try it and we will never be going back or recommending.

We didn't even finish our food because the beans were watered down and couldn't tell if it was the beans or the meat that had a funny taste to it.

Well needless to say our stomachs let us know the food was bad just a little ways down the road and have been miserable all day today as well, have to stay close to a restroom.

It's called Lunas tamales but we were told they hardly ever have tamales but we were lucky because they had some in the food truck outside , the lady inside told us they rarely have them but that if we wanted tamales she could give us her phone number and we could get them from her mom. We let her know we don't live here in the area just visit to go fishing.
The lady inside was very nice ,attentive , and tried her best even though she couldn't answer questions about the food or menu items bless her heart. The restaurant was nice looking and clean and the waitress/hostess was very good.

Ever since they shut down and reopened the quality and portions of food went down drastically and the prices skyrocketed. Beef fajita tacos were my go to and now the are dry, bland, and minuscule.

I have ordered Lunas Tamales for years for our Christmas celebrations. I just picked up a special edition flavor today, Spicy Pork....I cant wait to try them. Everything has gone up in price but Lunas Tamales are worth it. They now have a mobile unit so they can travel around and share their Tamales with more people!

My family used to love Luna's. Every time we go, it gets worse and worse. We ordered 6 of the ground meat and potato burritos and not only were they smaller than they usually are, there wasn't any potato in any of them. The tortillas were raw and only half of the burrito could be eaten. We will not be going back.

We used to frequent Lunas prior to the place closing. Food was tasty and fresh. Decent value. Now the food has no flavor at all. I would rate this similar to Lubys cafeteria Tex Mex. No flavor refried beans. No flavor fajita chicken. No flavor fajita beef. No idea who’s running the show now but it’s gone down hill since re-opening. No Bueno ….

I’m not sure if this place is under new ownership, but it’s definitely going downhill. I just came from there, and they didn’t have tamales, pozole, or even decent menudo. The menudo was completely tasteless. You’d think a place called Luna’s Tamales would at least have tamales readily available, but they don’t. Instead, they order them from a third-party vendor, and you have to preorder them. It’s really disappointing to see such a decline in quality and availability.
