The food was not good.

The deviled eggs with fried oysters on top were gritty and bitter.

The chicken fried venison was serviced raw, we had to get another one made.

The server:

My wife asked what kind of cheese and meats were included on the charcuterie board, she replied, "It's a selection of meats and whatever cheeses they have back there." And then she just walked off...we were in shock. After we recovered, we verbally flagged her down and asked her to find out and let us know.

When I showed her the raw venison and asked her what she thought, she said she didn't eat meat so she had no idea what it was supposed to look like...I asked her for the manager or the chief. She returned and said the chief said it was supposed to be red...I showed her again, and said look its raw. She replied again and said that she doesn't eat meat. At that point the manager came out and took the plate away and said they were making me a new one.

The manager was nice and professional as she worked to smooth over the situation. She comped the $18 deviled eggs, which I had never complained about. I felt as though the venison should have been comped for sure. During this bad experience my wife and I never complained we just informed, and we were not rude. We didn't ask to get anything for free, but maybe we should have~

I recently had lunch at The Longleaf and it was fantastic! My Friend and I enjoyed cocktails along with three appetizers, the olives, oysters and goat cheese and everything was fantastic! Chef Rob and Our Server, Kate were so lovely to visit with and happy to answer any questions we had. I look forward to trying their dinner menu in the future!

The BEST food I’ve ever had in Wimberly! I’ve been going to Wimberly for years too. The chef’s presentation was 5 star. The wagyu burger was excellent, salad was delightful and the bruschetta was so fresh. The total meal was wonderful. Cannot say enough…you must go!

The chef was excellent! Portion sizes left everyone hungry upon leaving. Desserts were good, but not something to remember. The restaurant was a little plain for the menu and prices. There are lots of good alternatives at this price point in the area. The front of the house needs a new focus and training. I would go back with tempered expectations.

It was soooo delicious. 5 stars for all. There isn’t a star rating choice for price . I would have put that as a 3. It is VERY pricey for lunch. I had shrimp salad and a glass of wine $41 for lunch! Not an everyday lunch spot because of price but it was surely the best food

The atmosphere is amazing and our server was amazing but the food was HORRIBLE. the crispy potatoes weren’t seasoned and simply fried, almost burnt. the veggie burger bun was chewy and the veggie patty was mushy. not worth 18$ at all.

First time visit. Greeted well, introduced at bar well, offered drink/food options...all good. Staff was friendly and engaging. Jason, bartender, was informative and inquisitive. Perfect combo. Will definitely return for a visit.

Pros: Great atmosphere
Cons: Way too expensive for what you get, lipstick on my glass, were out of the beer I wanted and just brought me another beer because I had mentioned it earlier, super long time on food, one person ordered medium one person ordered medium rare then they served the wrong dish to the wrong person.

Server Caroline was such a delight! Very sweet and diligent! Food was very much sub-par even for average price-range. The ambience of the patio is wonderful as one would expect from Wimberley. I wouls return only with hope the food improves because the service stands out.

We didn’t have a reservation, so we were offered patio seating. We chose a table away from the others under an awning with a ceiling fan. It was quiet and private. A perfect date night dinner spot. We shared bruschetta, the 16oz ribeye, medium rare and we each had side salads. It was cooked to perfection. We had the Zen and vodka cocktail which was light and refreshing. My partner enjoyed the Side Car and the Paper Plane, all were delicious. We topped the night off with the flourless chocolate torte. It was incredibly rich and decadent. The perfect finishing touch.

Great service, timely and thorough with our needs. Tasty mocktails for anyone whom doesn't drink, and the food tasted very fresh. Had the quail, the apple stuffing was delicious! Great spot for a date night.

I don’t write reviews… ever. This place is awful. Made a reservation and they only had outdoor seating in 100 degree weather. The cocktails were warm and so were the deviled eggs. The fish of the day came out cooked well beyond edible. They took it off the bill but I won’t be back.

The food and service was excellent! I had the shrimp/avocado/wild rice salad. Never would have thought of putting these ingredients together but it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the pork chop and enjoyed it also.
