I had a wonderful experience at Longleaf Craft Kitchen and Bar in Wimberly! My friends and I stopped by to celebrate a successful show at the Wimberly Playhouse, and it was such a cozy and inviting spot—perfect for gathering with friends and family.

The food was a highlight—the deviled eggs with fried oyster on top were absolutely delicious, and the quail was a standout as well. My only small complaint was that the deviled eggs arrived a little cooler than expected since the kitchen is in a separate building, but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment.

Service was excellent. Our server was attentive, made sure we were happy throughout the meal, and was quick to clear finished plates. The real standout moment, though, was the chef coming over to chat and check in—it made the experience feel so personal and special.

The chef’s touch really shows in the dishes, and the overall vibe of the place is warm and welcoming. One of my drinks was a bit on the mild side, but everything else made for a fantastic evening. I’d highly recommend Longleaf Craft Kitchen and Bar for anyone looking for great food, attentive service, and a friendly, cozy atmosphere.

Quail dish was to die for, wife isn't a big drinker but loved the daisy cocktail. I had the old fashioned, it was terrific.

Service was excellent, always available but never pushy. Food was very good. The ambience is a little on the informal side so do not be put off by it. The rest of the offering makes up for it. We recommend this restaurant and will happily go there again.

We came here on an early Friday afternoon for some drinks and our waiter was amazingly attentive. We tried the fried olives as an appetizer and they were delicious. I have never had a fried olive before. We also had “The Daisy” and the “Autumn Old Fashioned” which were both very tasty. We will be back again when we’re in town!

I can’t actually tell you how the food tastes. After waiting 40 minutes for 1 beer and appetizer that never came, we paid our $20 bill. For no food or drink. Terrible experience. Do not come here

Loved the atmosphere. The craft cocktails were yummy and the food was great. Service was somewhat slow but if you have good company and no place to go afterwards that isn't an issue.

I recently visited Long leaf Craft, and I can't recommend it enough! The service was exceptional—staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was a delicious experience; each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere of the restaurant is inviting and cozy, making it the perfect spot for a night out. If you're looking for a place that combines fantastic food with top-notch service, is the place to be! I'll definitely be returning soon!
Big kudos to Chef Robert for all the amazing food and coming out to chat with us, Strangers, who fell in love with your food.
I highly recommend potato & goat cheese tart, avocado &wild rice shrimp salad, TX hill country quail and airline chicken.

The chef and server made my solo birthday dinner a phenomenal experience - I’m so glad I stopped by here to check out the menu. Simple menu which is almost always a good sign - The food was executed perfectly with really balanced flavors and textures. The chef puts a ton of love and care into the dishes for sure.

Sneak attack of Michelin Star quality food.

The chef develops the entire menu and makes every component from scratch (they churn their own butter). The chef is a culinary master.

Wonderful hidden gem. Wimberley itself is worth a visit but if there, stop by for drinks, snacks or dinner! Dave is a great host!
