My wife and I arrived around 8am. It was not too busy at that time. We were greeted right away and seated. Our server took very good care of us. I ordered the Mexican skillet. It looked very good, and it tasted great. It was a very healthy serving too. We had a great visit and would certainly return.

Amazingly friendly staff...very busy for a Monday at 11am and they handled it well! So much to choose from. Great food!

My wife and I were visiting Rochester, Minnesota for the holidays. Being Southerners, we were overwhelmed with the freezing temperatures. We spent most of our time indoors. However, we decided to visit the Great River State Park in Winona so that we could see the Mississippi River. We decided to stop for lunch. We came across Winona’s Family Restaurant. Sadly, Minnesota was on lockdown due to Covid-19. Therefore, carry-out was the only option for us. Given this reality, we were not able to truly experience this local favorite. This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Traditional lunch selections include sandwiches and more. I would recommend this restaurant to travelers to Winona.

This is an excellent choice for any time of the day. We've had breakfast there a few times and have enjoyed a number of good breakfast choices. The menu is several pages long with lots goodies from eggs, meat and such to banana split waffles. Not the fanciest place inside but the food makes up for it. Servers are all very attentive and nice and very sweet.

We had breakfast here while being in Winona. It was not busy at all. The waitress was pleasant and our food came quickly. It was regular breakfast food but was hot and tasty.

The food was horrible and the service was worse! Miranda simply does not care! This eatery is never going to make it like this. Customers matter!

The soups were tremendous. Potato soup and chicken and dumplings. MMMMM. The open faced turkey sandwich was stellar. Big Thick slices of real turkey, not some lunchmeat with tasty Garvey and fresh bread. Really enjoyed it. My wife enjoyed her soup and gyro salad as well. The ranch dressing is also really good as is pecan pie.

Unbelievably bad restaurant! My waitress forgot absolutely everything I asked her for!!! The most egregious of all though, was that the owner insisted I eat the batter on my fish if I wanted more during the all you can eat special!!!! I stated that I had no intention of eating the unhealthy batter - he then asked "What's unhealthy about it?" I was shocked and embarrassed he made such a scene around me - as if I was trying to get away with something!! No where was it written that one must eat the batter if you order all you can eat fish. Cheap guy wanted to make sure everyone filled up on disgusting batter instead of healthy fish! I will never go back, nor should you!!!!!

I was really hoping to like this place. I first heard about it when they followed me on Instagram. They have a quite the social media presence, and always posted such awesome looking food photos! But our visit here was all sorts of meh. The old building, a parking lot that needs help, the not so clean table we sat at, the slow service and long wait for our food, and the food itself left much to be desired. Is it better than Perkins food-wise? Maybe sometimes. On this day though things came out overcooked, and overcooked (burnt) breakfast foods are high on my list of things I don't like. It was fairly busy though, so the cooks I'm sure were very busy, but if anything, take the food off the grill a bit early Vs a bit late.

Breakfast portions were huge and delicious. We really enjoyed the food and the service was very good, very friendly. Many places wreck hash browns by turning them into frisbees by overcooking. Not these folks! The hash browns were done perfectly and were delicious. Good syrup also. Terrific breakfast.

Stayed in Winona when we went to Ashley for the Arts Festival and ate at this place twice while we were here. We had 4 people in our party and both times all of us left the establishment well fed and happy. The staff does a great job from greeting youall the way to asking you to return. Each member of their staff seems truly happy to be working there and it shows in their great service and in the cleanliness of the building. The menu is varied enough to satisfy anyone coming here to eat.
