We enjoy coming to the "video store" as we call it for their fish, their specials and for their customer service. Tonight we had the Taco Salad which was one of the best taco salads I've had. Our other favorite is the Chinese food special. I also like their breakfast bowls. Try them out if you haven't, they won't disappoint.

Indulging in the bread pudding at the laon star diner was nothing short of a culinary revelation. The moment the dessert touched my taste buds, I was transported to a realm of comforting sweetness and rich, velvety textures. The exterior had the perfect balance of crispiness, while the interior maintained a moist, custard-like consistency. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, with the warm embrace of cinnamon and nutmeg dancing in harmony. The addition of plump raisins added a delightful burst of sweetness, complementing the overall ensemble. What truly set this bread pudding apart was the luscious sauce drizzled generously over the top. Its buttery, caramel undertones elevated the dish to new heights, creating a decadent contrast that left me craving another spoonful. Portion sizes were generous, making it ideal for sharing or savoring as a standalone dessert. The presentation was simple yet elegant, reflecting the craftsmanship that went into crafting this culinary masterpiece. In conclusion, the loan star diner has truly mastered the art of bread pudding, creating a dessert experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. If you're a fan of timeless comfort with a gourmet twist, the bread pudding here is a must-try.

First time at Lone Star. We had cheeseburgers and fries. They came out nice and hot, fresh cut fries were toasty too. Good flavor on both. This is definitely a good lunch spot. I want to try the chicken fried steak for dinner sometime soon.

Brother and I popped in about 20min till closing. We asked if they still had the grill going, and the lady just told us to sit down and she would feed us. She made sure we were taken care of. The service was excellent, the burgers were phenomenal, and the price was fair. They ain't a fancy place, but they are a welcoming place, with good food.

Had a chat with the owner after dinner. He is passionate about quality, fresh ingredients. A difference you can taste. Off the beaten path but worth the trip. A very unassuming place from the street. Definitely a hidden gem. The building is old but the restaurant is clean and professionally run. Looking forward to our next visit.

Food was excellent. I had fish and my Hubby had the chicken fried steak. Fish was fresh, fries were home made and the hush puppies good. Hubby said it was the best chicken fried steak he's had. Talked to the owners, they make most everything from scratch including the tartar sauce and ranch dressing. We will definitely be back!

We went there for an early dinner on a super hot day!! The food was pleasantly delicious and the service was top notch. We had the chicken tenders, steak fingers and onion rings and a salad---nothing frozen---surprised to see that everything was hand battered and seasoned well- not greasy at all. The salad was fresh too. Please consider this local diner when in Winters. It is not much to look at, but the food makes up for it, for sure!!Kid-friendliness: kid friendlyParking: open parking

I eat at Lonestar a lot, so I can vouch for almost everything on the menu. Their hamburgers are good, they have a grilled cheese sandwich with jalapeño poppers, which is out of this world. They have a stuffed baked potato on some nights that's delicious and their fried fish is good. I came here to say, depending on what the chef has decided to make that day, the fried apple turnovers are the best thing I've ever eaten. I go to Lonestar a lot of times just for the apple turnover.
