The food was good but the service was next level. Can't say enough about how good it was. Very friendly and my drink was never empty. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

We had wanted to eat here ever since we saw it off the side of the road. We finally stopped and went in. As soon as we stepped in the door, I knew we were in the right place! Now we wish we had eaten here sooner. Great meal and down home service.

Best Mexican food restaurant in the Lubbock area. While sometimes a bit overcrowded this place has amazing food and service. I have been going here for years and have always been satisfied.

Let me tell you…. We drive an hour every week to savor this experience. The food is the best Mexican food in this area. The atmosphere is so comfortable. The service is out of this world top notch! Best service ever! Thank you for an all around great date night every single time we go!

My husband and I went here and the food, atmosphere, and service was awesome! I got the fajitas and he the enchiladas. The wait staff was super nice and very on top of things. Our waiter was Melanie, I believe, and she took care of us very well. We also got to meet the owner and she was such a sweetheart. I highly recommend coming here. Also, if you like live music and free margaritas on Thursdays then this is definitely a place to get all of that.

We've tried this restaurant a few times before and it was pretty good, however this past Saturday was a whole different experience.
They weren't crowded, maybe another table besides ours. Took quite a while to get a menu, drinks and order. Our waitress was not really listening to anything we told her. We both ordered the beef fahita
Quesadillas. Food took a long time coming out. We finished a basket of chips and bowl of hot sauce just while waiting. Food finally came and was barely warm, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. Quesadillas had maybe 2 teaspoons of fahita meat inside, the rest was a tortilla with a small amount of cheese. There was also about a teaspoon of guacamole mixed with onions on the plate. Best part of the meal were the chips and hot sauce (which was very thin and could have used more seasoning). After finishing, we had to wait again for tickets. Don't know if this was just an off day or if food and service has slipped that much, but it was a very disappointing meal.
We drive from Lubbock, and pass many very good restaurants on the way to Chilitos. That, coupled with the price of a meal in today's world, makes a huge difference on how many chances we give a restaurant to compete. So far this year, Chilitos has missed the mark for staying on our favorites list.

This place was amazing!!! Micheal was our server. He was awesome!!! Beyond five-star service. Food was so delicious. I had read, in reviews, that there was a possibility of experiencing the green sauce from the defunct Casa Olé. We tried it and it was SPOT ON!!! This will become my go-to place, on Saturday. We work the Farmer's Market, in Wolfforth, every Saturday afternoon. Loved, loved, loved this restaurant. Don't sleep on this one.

Really cool local Tex-mex cafe with fantastic gorditas---the enchiladas are also great, and their chips, dips, and red salt are also very very good. Nice people, too : )
