I've eaten BBQ all over the south and Hancock's is the absolute best! Worth the 160 mile round trip we make almost every Saturday to eat there. Fantastic staff!

I stopped at Hancocks BBQ today June 9 2021. Oh so happy that I did .Two lbs brisket One sausage link.Both rate a 10 . I will be backItwas40 minutes before closing and the beef was fresh juicy. Sausage perfectly smoked

Great food! Take out only. However they do have two picnic tables outside. I had the sliced beef sandwich. It came with sauce, but I like more so I was glad we had asked for extra sauce on the side. It is in the same building as the real estate sales for Ivanhoe.

We stopped for brisket on our way back to Minnesota from Texas. We promised our dog sitter we would bring back the best brisket we found. We started eating the first order and had to go back for more. I love that it is so tasty without the heavy smoke flavor! I pinned Hancock’s Bar-B-Q on our map....
We stopped here on a Friday evening headed to Martin Dies Je. State Park, to get dinner to go and eat at the campsite. My husband said he was really hungry so I ordered a family meal. Oh.My.Goodness. We had so much food and the ribs were HUGE and tender and delicious! The sliced meat was amazing and I’m not sure I’ve had links that big or tasty anywhere else. Usually, sides aren’t anything to write home about but the potato salad, coleslaw and baked beans were simply amazing. I was so glad I ordered extra potato salad, because it tasted SO good. I’m not done yet!!!! I asked about dessert and was told they had bread pudding and that it was goooood. I don’t even like bread pudding and I loved this stuff so much!Even though we got there at closing time, the food was hot, delicious, and fresh. I could go on and on, it was that good. I promise I am not related to anyone who owns or works here. This was THE BEST barbecue I’ve ever had. Thank you so much, Hancock’s! Keep doing what you’re doing!
