Starter salsa with chips was delicious and flavorful. Augie's enchilada plate was also very satisfying, think of entomatadas. The meat was well seasoned and the refried beans were great. The rice needed a small boost in flavor and salt did the job to enhance the spices that were there. It's a definite recommendation and we'll be back next time we're in town!

Customer service was amazing and the place was very clean. My family got the carne asada tacos, grilled fajita, papa asada, and Mexican soda. Everything came with tortillas de masa a mano and reasonably priced. I love handmade tortillas, but most places will up charge for them. Food was well cooked and flavorful, totally recommend especially if you're just passing through the town.

Good solid place!! My buddies and I were looking for a local spot to pork at, and we cast lots and ended up going to Augie's! We were seated quick, and were quickly brought chips, salsa and water. Portion sizes are decent and the food is good. Service is friendly and helpful, and the bathrooms are clean. Will definitely be returning.

Augie's is simply one of my favorite places in Zapata to go! Their prices are amazing, the restaurant is always clean, staff is extremely friendly, too. Everything is made to order, so there can be a wait time, but it's never so long that it's not worth it.
We shared the Mexican plate. It was very good especially the chalupa.
