You would expect to find such a quaint little seafood restaurants in a coastal town, but surprisingly it's in Zapata! I was wowed the first time I had lunch at Robert's Fish N Tackle Restaurant. The fried catfish is cooked to perfection & not greasy. It was the first time I've ever had fresh cut curly fries. Now I've established a higher standard for curly fries...so good! Just what Zapata needs! We were in town for 5 nights and ate here 4 of them. The grilled catfish and shrimp were perfect. The fried fish doesn't leave grease on the paper in the basket. And the chicken fried ribeye was amazing. I know the other place in town is known for chicken fried steak but this ribeye outclasses it hands down. Robert and his family are friendly and genuine. The service is fast and everything we ate was amazing.

The best Catfish, great BBQ, the bloomin' Onion is awesome, wonderful burgers and I'm gonna stop cause I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Robert, Norma and Kids are wonderful hosts. Can't ask for more.
