Horrible customer service and mean employee. To help my case, it was the owner who served me, what a joke is this place, the mess was made by a 15 months old baby, and we are not just paying for food, we are also paying for service. We eat out at least twice a week, this is the first time and most likely the only time I will have an experience like this, you have to be so ignorant to treat your clients like that. 🤣

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere! We live nearby and I never get tired of visiting Toro. The sushi and ramen are both fantastic. The bubble tea is great too!

We come here all the time and the sushi is really good! Our favorite roll is the Bluffdale roll and we also like the Wasatch Roll. The Poke Tuna Salad is also really good, even my toddler (sometimes) likes it. It’s usually not that busy, and the staff is super friendly. Don’t forget to order a yuzu drink!

Toro Ramen and Sushi is the best japanese I had in SLC. The staff was polite and prompt. The sashimis and sushi were amazing. I would definitely recommend!

I really like the broth and chashu pork here. I ordered the shoyu ramen, and the broth is neither too salty nor too greasy, so I can finish the whole bowl. The chashu pork is very fragrant and tender.

Overall the food is decent but the service is highly variable. The first time we went to this restaurant it took nearly an hour to get food. The next couple of times were much better, but we went today and they were closed. There was no notice of this and the hours post in two places on the door indicate they would be open. And food options nearby are very limited so it was a big inconvenience. So overall, food is good, service is unreliable.

I have never felt compelled to leave a review before, but my experience at this restaurant was so disappointing that I couldn’t stay silent. From start to finish, the service was abysmal. I ordered the chashu ramen, only to be served something entirely different. When I pointed out the mistake, they didn’t bother correcting it properly—they simply brought me four slices of pork instead of the five that were supposed to come with the dish.
To make matters worse, the chef himself brought them to me with an attitude that was nothing short of dismissive and rude. At that point, I was so taken aback by his demeanor that I simply gave up. I’ve been treated with more respect at fast-food chains, and yet here I was, paying $18 for a bowl of ramen that wasn’t even prepared correctly—wrong broth, wrong toppings, wrong everything.
The waiter was equally unpleasant, adding to the overall terrible experience. It wasn’t just bad service; it was outright disrespect. For the price they charge, I expected at least a basic level of professionalism, but instead, I left feeling frustrated and completely unheard. I can say with certainty that I will never return to this place again.

This establishment offers excellent traditional ramen and sushi, alongside unique local variations. We sampled the Vegas and Tokyo sushi rolls, both of which were exceptional, and the Meat Lovers, Chicken, and Original ramen dishes. While the latter was somewhat salty, the overall flavor profile was quite enjoyable.
