What a fantastic little spot. This was my first time having Hawaiian food, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the Matsubi spam appetizer and it was delicious. The Moco Loco was fantastic (ground beef, an egg, rice and gravy??? yes please!) Also the Panko fish was phenomenal! Highly recommend this awesome Hawaiian fast food!

Rice was Dry and old....No gravy on it. About 3 oz of teriyaki steak obviously microwaved. Chicken Katsu was dry old and tasted like a fish from the OLD oil used. Almost 30 dollars after tip....Never again. TERRIBAD

I recommend the katsu chicken. They were great at customizing my picky kids order.

To start out, she didn't greet us when we came in, and just sat there emotionless, staring at us while we looked at the menu. The kalua pork and coconut shrimp were delicious but the rice was overcooked and sauce for it costs extra.
The restaurant is half full of random toys snacks and purses that take up way too much room and makes it hard to sit and enjoy a meal when you feel like you're surrounded by shelves of toys and snacks.
The soda machine had 2 nozzles not connected right that I fixed so I could get a drink. The cover to a couple drinks were not lined up right so the buttons didn't work so I realigned those as well just to not make a fuss over things since it looked like the owner was already having a hard day.
Everything aside, I would've rated a 3/5 if we had been met by a smile or even a "how are you guys today?" In the customer service business you need to act happy and welcoming even if it's a hard day.
Most likely won't come back. But the good was pretty good.

Great Hawaiian food. Especially for being so far away from the islands!

I won’t be back here. They were very rude and uninviting. I shouldn’t have even ordered food but I wanted to give it a try. The food came out way too fast for it to be fresh!! Ordered the Teri chicken mini plate. It definitely didn’t look like any of the pictures online that they have posted. There were a few chicken cutlets a small scoop of over done rice and a tiny scoop of over done noodles in the Mac salad. It was not worth the $12 I spent!

Just can't have too much Kalua pork! And tempura shrimp. Yum! Loved getting my Hawaiin fix. I'm not local and we don't have the wonderful island cuisine where we live, so it's nice to find it here.

Born and raised in Hawaii so I can confirm that this is AUTHENTIC Local style foods that I grew up eating. We ordered the Kalua Moco, Chicken Katsu, Kalbi ribs, and Volcano fries and everything was as expected, Onolicious (Delicious)Flavor and portions 5 ⭐️Price was average. The Mac salad was my favorite. It was next level broke da mout action. The Wahine owner was such a great person to meet, we were sad to hear they will be moving back home but so happy for them at the same time. Life’s to short to live it any other way than happy and how you want it to be. We will be making that little detour off the I-15 every time we pass by till they move back home.If you’ve never eaten local Hawaiian style food before, don’t leave a bad review if you didn’t like the food. Just say you didn’t like the food, don’t correct them on they SHOULD have made if you’ve NEVER EATEN IT OR KNOW HOW THE DISH IS SUPPOSED TO BE MADE. Auwe ??♂️We wish da Kalama Ohana all the very best. Till we meet again, A hui hou, Malama Pono ??- Da Ohana From Nānākuli headed to Cali.
