The staff at Hug-Hes tonight were truly a godsend. We were about an hour from home, looking for a place to eat, and decided to stop in. We had our 5-year-old with us and were pleasantly surprised by the variety on the kids’ menu.

While we were waiting for our food, our son suddenly got sick and threw up—nothing related to the restaurant at all. He was panicked, and we needed to head home quickly. As my wife helped clean him up, I worked with the staff to take care of the mess. They were incredibly kind, understanding, and helpful throughout the entire situation.

I was very apologetic and asked if we could cancel our order, and there was absolutely no hesitation. Their only concern was making sure we could get our child home and taken care of. The manager was especially amazing—I didn’t catch her name, but she went out of her way to support us and make sure everything was handled smoothly.

Because of the staff alone, we will definitely be returning. Also, the beer bread was excellent

Everything was wonderful except the food. Totally meh. We had a group of 6. We all tried something different. Nearly everything was mediocre tasting. Except the chicken and rice soup, which was rather good. Salmon meh. Philly cheese steak meh. Pasta Alfredo meh. We're not particularly picky eaters. We eat out all the time. We've eaten at HugHes before. This time was a step down.

We reserved the Centerville location's private room for our company holiday party. There were 18 of us. Our server, Cassidy, was very attentive and friendly, the food came out quickly considering the size of our party, and we were able to stay in that room when we finished eating and play a game.
