The la Puente in Layton is hands down better. Better service, Better food, Better coke, better building. Centerville is average.

This is our absolute favorite date night spot! The staff is so friendly and the food comes out super quick!! We love the food, the chile verde enchiladas are my favorite. The chips and salsa are great too and it's all reasonably priced!

The food was great. Everything was mild. I was expecting some heat in the food. No hot sauce on the table.

If I could give zero stars I would. The worst! Workers kid was throwing and breaking eggs in the dining room. Nachos were a flat melted plate of grease. As another review said about the salsa my girlfriend said the same…pizza sauce with a little taco flavor. We left as soon as they brought the food out it looked so bad.
I wouldn’t have left a review but I be now received 2 requests and I’m guessing from using my credit card which I don’t appreciate.

Food was ok. I had the smothered chicken burrito. The chicken tasted like it came from a can but the sauce it was smothered in was decent enough. I didn't like the chips and salsa. The salsa has an odd ketchup like quality.

La Puente is like the McDonald's of Mexican food. You always know exactly what you're going to get: cheesy enchiladas, perfectly seasoned beans, and that salsa that hits just right every time. It may not be five-star fine dining, but it's five-star comfort dining. When the craving hits, La Puente is the trusty go to that never disappoints.

The first time I ate here, the food was really good, but the service was not. The waitress was grouchy and unfriendly. But I really liked the food so we went back a second time. The second time the food was not as good, and the waitress was still grouchy and unfriendly. It was the same waitress. They probably need to have a staff meeting and talk about grouchy, unfriendly waitresses.

Food was cooked well, I got crunchy tacos and they had a nice crisp. However, the chicken was just plain unseasoned shredded chicken, there was no seasoning so no flavor, other than the melted cheddar cheese on top of the bland chicken. Beans and rice were average, service was rushed and average, atmosphere was OK. Standard Mexican restaurant. SURELY needs to pick up on seasoning. I expect a lot of flavor with Mexican food. This was similar to nursing home food for elderly people who can't have salt.
