My mom went in to order food for a family gathering, my elderly grandma had requested Taco Time. At the counter, she was informed passive-aggressively that the bundles had changed. When my mother needlessly apologized for needing a moment to adjust her order based on the new bundling, the man at the register made an inappropriate remark, saying, “I have three sisters, I know how your brains work.” Offended but conflict avoidant, my mom ignored him. After placing her order, she received her food without a receipt and unfortunately didn’t verify its completeness. Later, she discovered a significant portion was missing. When she called the store, the man told her to return. She asked me to accompany her, and I’m glad that I did because I can’t imagine how she would have been treated had I not been present.

Upon arrival, we respectfully sought the missing food. Before my mom could finish speaking, the employee rudely interrupted, stating he would only provide what was missing. My mom had not asked for anything extra, nothing of the sort had been mentioned. His tone and disrespectful demeanor upset her, prompting me to intervene. I explained we had come back from Bountiful to retrieve our missing order. He mentioned he lived there and took the bus. I indicated that his mode of transportation and location of his residence were not relevant and attempted to steer the conversation back to the actual issue. As my mom became more upset by his disrespect, she chose to go outside, leaving me to handle it.

I requested a printed receipt, he scoffed at me and instead tried to show me the order screen clear back in the kitchen. After making this request repeatedly and being met with more attitude, he finally complied. He then claimed my mother hadn’t ordered what she said she did. I understood the potential for miscommunication, we are human after all. I knew she intended to order more food for the family gathering and had even written a list to clarify the amounts. Instead of being helpful and potentially consulting the list she had brought, he was petulant. Regardless of this, what was paid for and received was still incorrect.

He claimed my mother’s story changed when we arrived, suggesting that she was exaggerating in order to receive additional food than what was owed. My family is financially secure, we have no need to take advantage of a fast food joint for a few extra tacos. I assured him that her account hadn’t changed, as I was present for the call. He stated that he had been at work since 10 AM, insisting that it gave him better memory; dismissing my mother’s, my own, and the evidence of her list and receipt, along with the shortfall of food. I was incredibly irritated. I confronted him about the remark that he made to my mother earlier. He responded that he does in fact have sisters, I assured him that having sisters doesn’t excuse sexist, offensive comments towards customers without consequence. The conversation was wholly unproductive; he was unprofessional from the get go. I did not trust him to prepare our missing food properly. We later discovered one of his long, dark hairs long inside my grandmother's burrito and it only reinforced this unease.

I told him and the two other male employees, who were intimidatingly grouped together, that my family and friends had been patrons of the establishment since it opened and would no longer return. I expressed my intent to contact management and the owner. When I asked for his name, he ignored me several times. Then he claimed his name was “confidential information.” I clarified I only wanted his first name, but he continued to refuse, even though there is literally an employee’s name on the receipt. Leaving me to utilize a description of his unkempt physical appearance when contacting his superiors.

I didn’t intend to be a “Karen” when accompanying my mother to retrieve missing food. This situation was unnecessary and stemmed solely from this man’s unprofessionalism, disrespect an

Love this Taco Time, but not today - the crispy tacos had very little meat, and were cold.

It was good.
But, you would think that they would automatically add or least ask if you want catsup when ordering Mexifries at the drive through.

Double check your to go orders. As per the manager, sometimes it is very hard to put the sauce that you request in your bag.

TRULY THE WORST ? Food wasn’t fresh or filled and tortillas were hard. I paid $26 for 3 items ? and have never felt more taken advantage of by a fast food company. The balance of food quality vs cost was so insanely out of whack, I’m going to tell people about this for a LONG TIME followed by a clear warning to STAY AWAY!!! ⚠️ In short, not a fan.

They put tacos together much better than TB does. The cheese gets put on the meat, then lettuce on top of the cheese. This helps cheese melt on the taco.

Absolutely terrible service! I waited at the counter for 5 minutes. Then they got my order wrong. Tried to have them correct it and I basically got ignored. I went in for a quick lunch and it turned out not to be quick. Absolutely terrible customer service!

On 6/28/24 at 6:00PM we placed an order via the drive through. The experience from start to finish, was with a man that acted like he did NOT want to be there and we were an interruption to his day Extremely
