The food was fine. Place had a very interesting classic diner vibe. But the owner decided to talk about his political views and he was super mean to his own staff... not for me i guess

Ordered 2 kids meal which was a simple frozen waffle & bacon plus my meal, the total was $60.00. The whole place smells like human urine & the owner isnt the nicest to his staff, makes you feel awkward & uncomfortable.

Visiting from Pleasant Grove, we decided to try High Hat Diner. The owner greeted us at the door and was very personable.Food tasted great, and despite being overworked and understaffed, the owner busted his back to make sure his tables were served. Cooking, serving tables and everything in between. 10/10 would recommend and we will be back. Thank you Ron!

I’ll start off with the positives. The bacon is good, the biscuits are good, the chili verde was good. Everything else was not great. The second you walk in there is a giant hole in the ceiling next to the nastiest swamp cooler I have ever seen in a food establishment. I don’t know if the building has a plumbing issue but it smells like it should be condemned. The whole place smells overwhelmingly like human urine. As for the food, the sausage gravy is terrible, the color is strange and it tasted like fryer grease. I couldn’t even eat it. The rest of the food was mediocre at best and overly fried in what tasted like old oil. The service wasn’t great at all, the owner, I’m assuming, was extremely intrusive and unprofessional. The topics of conversation were insanely inappropriate. Over all a terrible experience and we will not be back nor recommend.

Hi Hat Diner is a hidden jewel. The outside of the building is so plain, if you drive by too fast you’ll miss it. Once inside it’s like all the magic comes alive. We were greeted at the front door, Ron the owner welcomed us into his diner, he went over the menu that was posted and suggested we try the chilli verde. We were seated and our orders were taken and serve hot coffee, just like Grandpa use to make minus the grounds. Our food came out and boy-o-boy, talk about a lot of food. The food was awesome and the owner came out to see how the food was, and I said I was in heaven. The atmosphere in the diner was like stepping back through time, all the memorabilia on the walls of Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, the Beatles, the Rat Pack, Mahamid Ali, Kiss and many more made you feel like you had stepped back to the past.Don the owner was absolutely the best host/ cook ever, he welcomed us like we were a part of his family, very personable, funny and a great guy to get to know. This was our first time in the Diner and it definitely won’t be our last.THANKS RON FOR A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND WONDERFUL GRUB.

This place is awesome. Old school diner feel. Personable, kind and caring people here. I had a vegetarian omelette recommended by the owner. It was perfect!

The owner is a really nice guy.he sat there and made jokes and had us both laughing. The service was great to didn't take long to get out food. And it was delicious the chili Verde was the best I've had.

I see a ton of reviews on here about High Hat Diner. The owner is very personable just and a fun guy to be around. Pictures of music icons on every wall and the music of the day give the diner a well rounded feel. I loved my chicken fried steak mountain. Smells like fresh cooked diner food. What more could i ask for?

Not good. Food taste like it was made a week ago then heated in a microwave. The owner wants to sit down with while eat and he's very offensive.

This place needs a heavy duty cleaning. Smells like urine inside, bathroom was filthy, giant hole in the ceiling with old dirty insulation hanging off of it, old boxes stacked in the front of house... I just don't know how this place is even open. The Owner( or the person I assume is the owner ) was very nice. Super talkative. My wife liked what she ordered. I didn't really order much because of how nasty it was in there( the smell of pee was strong ). Not trying to be mean. Just telling the truth. Maybe a little less stories, and a little more cleaning. Sorry.
