Quick, ready food cooked to order. Fry bread is awesome.

Usually like this place. I've been a patron off and on over a span of 20 years. This last visit was by far the worst. Not sure we'll be back; sadly. The scones were a little too thin and well done and bacon was almost still 'squealing'. When we asked for it to be cooked a little more, it was brought back almost burnt and with some attitude. It kind of leaves a bad taste in your mouth, especially when there aren't many great breakfast places.
Also doesn't sit well when the waitress loudly chastises patrons publicly.

Star country platter is a must! I ordered chopped jalapeno to go along with it (if you like spicy, do mix with it), it’s soooo good!
Country fried steak & eggs = greatness
Scones and crepes are very delicious!

It's a great cafe for breakfast or lunch.

Worse service I’ve ever had. Never received 1/2 our order. It was my mom’s birthday didn’t get nothing it wasn’t that busy you would never make it at Denny’s. They get busy. Very very poor service. She brought the rest of our food when we were leaving

What food we got was good, but we got here at 845 ordered our breakfast we never received our pancakes and toast. They said they were behind but the Cafe wasn't 70% filled

My waitress forgot my silverware (on quite a few visits) and left me waiting quite some time before I could eat.
The food is great and worth a little unpleasantries.

🩷Love this place—NEED this place, as two closer (to me) cafes have recently closed, and my friend circle depends on good breakfast spots. This past weekend, while the waitress was lovely in every way, it seemed the wait staff was unsupported by adequate kitchen staff. It took far too long for food to arrive. The 🩷server🩷was great, as was the food💛💛💛.The cash-register person was mildly surly…🫤

One of the Worst Dining Experiences I’ve Ever Had

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. From start to finish, this dinner was an absolute disaster. The service was shockingly bad — our server couldn't have been more inattentive or disorganized. She brought out the wrong drinks and didn’t bother to correct the order until we were practically done eating. And when I say “eating,” I mean enduring a painfully long wait of over an hour just to get our food.

By the time our food finally arrived (well after other larger parties who ordered *after* us), it was a complete letdown. Multiple plates had HAIR on them — yes, actual hair. Not just one plate, but several. That alone should’ve been a dealbreaker, but we tried to power through as our server spent most of her time in the kitchen and we didn't want to wait another hour for our food to be made again. (We made sure to take pictures and shared them with the host after) Then, just when you think it couldn’t get worse, the sides we ordered didn’t show up until *after* we had already finished our main course. What’s the point?

There was absolutely no sense of urgency or professionalism from the staff.

Save your time, your money, and your appetite. This place is a mess and clearly doesn’t care about basic hygiene, timing, or customer service.

Star Cafe? More Like No-Star Cafe – A Hair-Raising Experience (Literally)

If you're looking for an overpriced exercise in patience, disappointment, and involuntary hair consumption, then Star Cafe is your spot. For the rest of us who enjoy edible food and basic human decency, avoid this place like a cold cup of instant coffee.

Let’s start with the drink fiasco. One of us ordered a coffee—you know, that hot, caffeinated beverage found at literally every diner since the dawn of breakfast—and what came out? A Coke. After correcting the server, the coffee finally arrived... eventually. That slow, inattentive service became the theme of the entire visit. Drink refills? Rare. Communication from staff? Nonexistent. Our table felt like a forgotten side quest in their poorly managed simulation.

As for the food, it took over an hour to arrive. That might be excusable if what came out was worth waiting for. Spoiler: it wasn't. Bland, lukewarm, and uninspired—I've had more flavorful meals at Denny's or IHOP. And as a cherry on top of this depressing sundae, multiple sides didn’t even make it to the table until we had already finished eating.

But wait—it gets worse. Three of us found hairs in our food. And not even the kind you can convince yourself maybe came from your own head. No—foreign, mystery hairs. Curious, I peeked into the kitchen (something I now regret), and surprise! Not a single hair net in sight. Honestly, it looked like a scene from a bad reality show where the health inspector is about to barge in.

When we brought this nightmare to the staff's attention, their response? A casual attempt to charge us full price—about $90 for all of our meals that made us all lose our appetite. After some negotiation, they knocked off 20%, but honestly, they should’ve been paying us for sticking it out.

Bottom line: Star Cafe has earned a spot on my “never again” list. Save yourself the disappointment (and the hairballs) and head anywhere but to Star Cafe.

So we definitely didn't have a good experience with this place, we got there and they sat us really quick, they took our drink orders and they kept bringing the wrong drinks each time, didn't get my coffee until 30 minutes after being sat cause they kept bringing me coke. We ordered our food and sat waiting for 45 minutes, big groups who came in after us, and they were almost finished eating, a other table next to us had the same issue, we finally had to go up and complain to the hostess that we haven't gotten our food cause our waitress never came out to check on her tables, they finally brought it out, but to make matters worse some food was burnt, and other plates had hair on it, we were done with it all and ate what we could and left. Definitely not coming back, not something I want to deal with again.

HOLY TIME TRAVEL, BATMAN! Never been here before, but it's what I picture a 1970s diner being (minus the smoking section). My overall impression was meh at best and I feel there was an senior age criteria that I didn't meet. However, the waitress was nice enough. Unfortunately, she fell victim to being the one to have to come back 15 minutes after I ordered to tell me they didn't have any lettuce for the chicken avocado salad I wanted for lunch. I resorted to a club sandwich instead. It was decent. My wife had the Philly and our kid had the cheesesticks. If you like truck stop diner food, this place is for you. The fries were handmade but assorted temperatures (perhaps from different batches?). Some were cooked longer then others.
I must say the waitress saved this place for me. She seemed tired after all long breakfast shift but still was attentive and smiling. She also was willing to give my wife extras of the cute holiday toothpicks that came with our sandwiches. I think I'd have to go back for the famous breakfast before deciding overall.

It was a perfect quick meal (about 30 mins): coffee and two-egg breakfast with hash browns and scones. I appreciate the small thermos of coffee that was left at my table. Two hot sauce options—nice. The scones are the fry bread kind, not the biscuit kind and they’re delicious!

Ordered homefries and got hashbrowns. Bacon was cold and burnt. Eggs were cold and the toast was dry. We had to hint down our server to get refills on our drinks. I don’t think I will be foing back.
