Coffee And Cocoa

The atmosphere here reminds me of an early 2000s coffee shop in the best way. Coffee was great too and baristas were friendly. Will be back!

Here’s just maybe an idea…put a readable menu anywhere online. Maybe a website?

The short barista with the bangs was rude and gave attitude when she got the order wrong. My boyfriend clearly said he wanted cafe a lait and instead of asking for clarification she just didn’t add it to the order. When asked about it, she said “well I asked you twice and you didn’t say anything” instead of just letting him order. We didn’t even hear her and she was standoffish when we were ordering in the first place. A different barista had to step in and help us. Horrible service.

Might be one of the worst coffees I had in SLC so far.

Been here twice. First time their computer system was down unable to take credit cards. I had to come back a couple hours later to pay for my order. Second time, ordered two pounds of coffee and 2 bagel breakfast sandwiches ($64.00) but was told 5 minutes after I paid they had no meat and could only do egg and cheese. No accommodation, very poor service.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good music. Coffee was burnt until no character remained. Had to add cream, something I never do for a black drip. Assuming brew was too hot, or potentially dirty urns but likely the former.

Good drinks and decent food with average prices. I’ve been coming here for awhile and used to love it, but recently found that the staff put a real damper on the mood. Not super friendly, gossiping with eachother quite loudly behind the counter, and saying rude things about customers when they didn’t come get their drink quick enough. For having pretty average food and drinks, I think the service and attitude of employees will unfortunately be turning me away in the future.

The other chai spot we were heading to was closed, so we found Coffee and Cocoa. Prices were decent, lots of options, friendly staff. Decorations are kind of sparse, and there was no music of anything so it was silent with 10 people in there.
