Solid food with good service. 5 stars for having a year round heated indoor dog patio.

i was very excited to go here, and i never leave poor reviews.
service: Our waitress was very nice, welcoming
food: you could taste that their espresso machine isn’t clean, my latte tasted like cardboard, they gave my friend the very end of the pot twice, he also had grounds in the bottom of his cup. he also received his eggs cooked wrong and hash browns barely cooked.
The mac and cheese was not good at all i don’t even know what they did to it.
they had a hot sauce bottle filled with water???
environment: The big plastic thing was flapping loudly and hitting people. the music was insanely loud

I am from out of state. This place was recommended by a friend. Absolutely delicious menu. Great service. Will be back when I come visit Salt Lake in February

It’s a cute environment, but my sandwich was way too salty. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to be a bother, but the ladies in the table next to me both returned their meals due to the saltiness. My sandwich came with fries, and the waitress asked what kind of fries I wanted and listed out the options. I chose garlic fries, but didn’t learn until after I had paid that there was a $3 up-charge for them. I didn’t end up eating most of them because the fries came with just minced garlic on top that was too strong. There was also an undisclosed $1 up charge for the oat milk I got in my latte. I would not come back here.

The price was reasonable and the food was really great. The server was attentive and friendly. It was a nice vibe. They had a live jazz jam going on which was cool. The only knock is the music at times was a bit loud for conversation. I never heard of this place before walking in, but it was a great evening. Will return.

I had heard a lot about this place before I had visited. I finally decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. I went with their breakfast burrito and you also have the option to smother your hashbrowns with cheese which I would highly recommend doing. We also tried their French toast sandwich, which was very, very delicious. I would definitely come back here. I would recommend everyone to try Root’d out at least once.

The food is pretty average sadly. We had the deviled eggs, a Cuban sandwich and a balsamic salad. The two biggest misses were the Cuban and the eggs. The eggs had nearly zero flavor profile to them and should either be changed or scrapped completely. The Cuban's problem was the citrus pork. The pork as almost no flavor to it and is quickly overwhelmed by the cheese and Dijon mustard. If the pork had a more stand out flavor it would be improved by a lot because right now it just tastes like a cheese and mustard salad. On the positive side the Fries and Coffe provide were delicious and are a must try.

The food here is amazing! Everything tastes super fresh, and the quinoa bowl with salmon is my absolute favorite!! it’s seriously so good. The staff is really kind and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. I also loved the Thursday night with live music, it gave the whole place such a nice vibe. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!

Food
(it was really a 6/5)

Where has this been my whole life? Wow! This 7-Eleven, turned into a restaurant is not one to pass up. I attended a dinner event here that had it all - the amazing food, live music, fantastic staff and an enthusiastic owner, Sean, who has so much passion for what he does.

Our table ordered the roasted brussel sprouts as recommended by our wonderful server, Emily (huge shout out!!), we each had the Brighton Balsamic Greens, then our entrees included: Steak and Frites, a French Dip sandwich, and salmon and quinoa. We finished the night with their cute and puffy beignets - heavenly little pillows. We also got to try their mocktails - polar bear and another drink I forgot the name of, but it was fruity and delicious!

What an incredible dinner showcasing what Root’d can do! Can’t wait to come back to try the rest of the menu for brunch and dinner again!
