Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

This was my first time coming to a Cafe Rio and to be totally honest - the food was very good but the man taking my order was not nice at all. His attitude was like HURRY UP Lady. He kept looking at me with a look of disgust. Made me feel really bad. They were not busy at all so I don’t understand why one is rushed and treated this way. Like I said it was my very first time at Cafe Rio and I was just looking at what I can have for and early lunch. For $25 dollars for two of us I think we both could have been treated more politely. It was my first time there and my LAST. I am not going to be treated that way nor have anyone that is with me to be treated that way. Why is this exceptable? Is this normal for Cafe Rio if so let me just say this - it is NOT good or nice customer service…

My first Cafe Rio visit was in San Clemente CA. It was amazing. But I quickly learned that there is not the same consistency at all locations. Draper’s focus is on volume not quality. The drive through does more biz than most stand alone locations. Food and service is okay. Today’s visit my food was cold and watery. I miss the killer food from SC.

I ordered on the easy to use mobile app order was ready on time and accurate. Unusually great drive up speaker and fantastic customer service by the window service.

This place is so bad it’s comical. The other 2 cafe rio locations I go to are significantly better. This location is DIRTY. The workers are GRUMPY. The food is WILTED, SOGGY. They do not give actual portions they CUT BACK on the portion servings. They MESS UP on ALL online orders. Don’t believe me? Try another location and compare. CAFE RIO DRAPER, is DIGUSTING!

Order ahead service is terrible and the quality of food and preparation is completely different than other cafe rio’s. Save your time and go to another location. Some of the staff here could care less about you or your food.

Had an enjoyable experience tonight.
Came in about an hour before closing for takeout and was greeted with pleasant music, great smells, and everything looked really clean.

I ordered two beef barbacoa enchiladas, but had to wait a couple of minutes for the batch to finish. I was offered a free drink and told i would be informed if i would like to sit and wait for the beef to finish.

I did not mind at all, and the wait was shorter than expected.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would definitely come again.

The employee who assisted me was Ethan, and he made me feel very welcomed and was incredibly assistive and polite.

Recommended dishes: Enchilada Style Burrito

I generally order the Barbacoa Burrito enchilada style with Extra meat Extra cheese. I get charged for both cheese and meat. But 95% of the time I don't get either and I would say 50% I actually get less meat than if I ordered it without extra meat. I don't get how this is such a hard concept. I've also tried to reach out but never hear back. They probably owe me a few meals based on what I've been overcharged. If you want anything special to the order don't bother cause you won't get it and will get charged.

location sucks, food never tastes good, staff suck at their job can’t ever get an orders right. A waste of money
