Not horrible but definitely not the most friendly service. The people here don't really seem to enjoy thier jobs.... like at all. The food was good for the price. Its not a mystery as to why Black Bear Diners are closing.

Looks like the quality has list it's uniqueness here. I use to really enjoy pancakes, etc. Now they are just your run of the meal out of a box type taste. Even the take home containers are flimsy and not microwaveable. They only had 4 staff so it tells me they may not be around long.

Today My server maybe interacted with me 4 times. I dont know why. She only refilled my water once after it sat for 10 minutes empty. My second entre the biscuits got cold because i didn't want to eat without more water to drink. In total this was the worst experience I've had at black bear. Normally I think its a good restraunt choice but i think from now ill stick to a different location. Slow service, cold food. Even after paying i sat for another 10 minutes for a box. Instead of waiting another 10 minutes I left without my leftovers. Very disappointed in my experience.

I was sitting at the bar and watched my food getting cold because the waiter disappeared. When I cut open the steak it was basically raw and it and the sides were lukewarm. Took a few bites and decided to just leave, but had to find someone to get my check because I couldn't find my waiter again.

The food was great and our waitress Ella with her big friendly smile was amazing!! She was on the spot helping us order dinner. Paid attention if we needed anything and promptly had it on the table. Ella really made a difference in making our meal and time at Black Bear be a great experience. She was a friendly and happy waitress that really had it together. We’ll be back to Black Bear Diner again!!!
