Love their desserts sadly this time the rice pudding wasn’t made with a pudding but instead a whipped cream and there was a lot less of a portion size to eat and less rice. It wasn’t like their usual and not as enjoyable and I paid the same for it for a lot less. Really disappointed as it’s a favorite here.

The server was quite rude—he tossed the spoons onto the table.
Saturday, 29th, 9:15 PM.
The food was cold, and it felt intentional—likely because we initially ordered it to-go and then asked to change it to dine-in.
The downtown branch, however, is really good.

The coffee is great, pastries good and breakfast is just ok. The service was good, not great, but nothing to really complain about. For the price, I honestly wouldn't go there for breakfast again, unless it was just for pastries and coffee.

It's true that the service is very slow. We walked to the counter to pay, and who I assume is the manager looked so bothered by this. You were not quiet when speaking under your breath (unprofessional), but sorry, we interrupted your standing session.
The food was delicious, and although she was slow, our server was very sweet. I will check out another location in the future.

Don't bother trying the cannoli. I loved the one I had in Boston but the one here was dry and flavorless. But other things might be ok.
I came here to get some bread 5 mins before closing. Everyone in the restaurant saw me, but chose to ignore me. After knocking their doors for good a few minutes, they finally came to tell me they are all sold out, which I don’t believe them. They just close their register earlier. What a wasting of time for me traveling 20 minutes to their store. More is the staff’s attitude chose to ignore their client while I was waiting outside, is very rude
Great food. Got a bit crowded and noisy at peak lunch time.

I tired the Monte Cristo and it was very disappointing. The corn flake crust made the whole thing taste like a corn dog? I paid extra for the rosemary fries and they were good not great. I didn’t finish my meal and didn’t take it home. I will say their hot chocolate was probably the best I’ve ever had!

Eclairs, tarts and cakes are very good. They have something for everyone!
One of my favorite smells! This bakery is like a warm hug minus a body.
I have to find my receipt for the name but the lady who took my order was on top of everything and was quick to help with a warm smile!
The desserts here are one of my favorite and she gave recommendations for my next trip! I will come back and hope to find more decadent desserts I pine for.
Sadly, the rest of the group was facing away chatting away but didn't look happy to be there.
Kouign Amman was burnt and doughey on the inside. Was not impressed at all.

Just want to take a moment and let ya'll know this experience. My wife wanted to make me an extra special 60th birthday. She went to Gourmandise Draper and purchased a cake for the occasion. Not sure if she ordered it or just bought it out of a display case. We did the whole birthday song and candles. Then she served the cake that was so dry and old tasting it was inedible. She felt so bad, but didn’t say anything. But I knew that she was so disappointed in the product. She wanted it to be special, that’s why she went there and paid big $$$ for a cake. She called and told them about her experience, only to have this company tell her it was her fault. Her flat? And we don’t give an exchange on product. Funny part.. she didn’t want her money back! She just wanted them to know about the poor quality that was sold to her.
They did not care, they are not accountable. The good part is? She makes the very best carrot cake in the world! And so she did that on a do over. Lesson? Don’t buy your cake at Gourmandise! I would think that my best customer is my customer that will tell me when I do wrong so I can correct it! Also she didn’t not want to say anything, but last night when our large group was enjoying the carrot cake, she told the story of what happened at Gourmandise Draper. So now ya’ll know!

I keep having disappointing experiences here with their pastries. Their Kouign-amann used to be one of my favorite but whoever took over making this has totally buchered it. Kouign-amann is a laminated pastery with butter and sugar through the lamination to create a caramelized perfection, it's not croissant dough then dipped in sugar after the fact, with a large dollop of butter and sugar in the middle that makes a soggy disgusting center. Nothing caramelized about these Kouign-amann. C'mon gourmandise you can do better.

It looked like it was going to be fancier than it was. We didn't have pastries. They looked beautiful.

Love their food. Usually experiences are good. I tried to take a group of 10 people on a Wednesday night. They don’t do reservations so we called ahead for the waitlist and it all looked good but when we got there they had had a rush and couldn’t accommodate us unless we waited at least an hour. They only had two servers and the manager explained the situation kindly. We were disappointed but understood the challenge. We went somewhere else. I would just say it’s not a good choice for a large group but great when you can get in with a smaller group.
