Great margaritas! The food used to be better. My carne asada was mainly fat, but over all, the did was still good. Chips and salsa were good. Service was excellent.

I’ve frequented this restaurant for nearly 30 years and enjoyed it. But my last two visits assured I’ll never again be a customer. First of all, the server did a good job especially since it looked like she was the only served working. No complaints about her. The atmosphere is as always. No updating in about 30 years, a bit dark. A few customers. The food was terrible. The corn chips were cold and stale. I didn’t try the salsa because I already know it’s too hot for me. People who like hot would probably like it. I had cheese enchiladas with flour tortillas. The plate was really hot. Too bad the food wasn’t. Tortilla were really thick and like cardboard. Tortillas should be thin. These weren’t. It was like they were grabbed out of a plastic bag and slapped down and some cheese thrown in and microwaved. A 10-year old who’d never cooked before could have made a more appetizing enchilada in his Mom’s kitchen. The cheese was the filling. That’s all—plain cheddar cheese. No flavor. Not melted. Not even hit. Some sauce labeled over it. Rice was stale and not like the usual flavorful rice. This was either undercooked or maybe hard because it was a leftover from another day. No moisture. No flavor. Beans were flopped in the plate. A spoonful of sour cream slipped on top. Another person ordered their usual favorite—Navajo Taco. The bread itself tasted like it had been fried earlier in the day. The ground beef was overcooked to the point of burnt. Toppings were as usual. It was pretty bad. I don’t enjoy saying these things. Has the restaurant changed ownership? Changed management? I usually see a couple of employees who I remember from earlier visits, but not the past two times. I love Mexican food—Tex-Mex or original, either is fine with me. But this is the worst Mexican food ever.
