I was so disappointed. The reason I started loving Hokulia in the first place was because their shaved ice was so soft, but unfortunately this is the first time I’ve been when it was HARD! It seemed like the shaved ice I could’ve gotten at the state fair—cheap & forgettable. There were also bees EVERYWHERE so you couldn’t even sit at their tables.

The ice was super fluffy and the flavoring was delicious! I wish there were smaller sizes instead of just big or bigger. It’s hard to eat that much snow especially for little kids. The picture I’ve posted is the smallest size available and it is still very large.

Don’t go to any other place! This Hokulia shave ice shack is THE BEST in the valley. I don’t know why it’s better, but all 5 of our orders were prepared to perfection. Our girls were in heaven since we got one for each of them— the Short Board was such a great value.

I love this place....well until recently. I went there all last summer, literally at least 30 times and almost every time it was excellent. So far this summer I've been there 3 times and the last 2 have not been very good. They did not have nearly enough flavoring....hardly any color or flavoring on the bottom half of the cone. Not sure if they're trying to save money but paying $6+ for a cup of ice which only half has flavor isn't good. PLEASE use plenty of flavoring and teach your employees how to make them properly. I will give them one more try and if it's not good I won't be back. I will gladly change my review if things get back to how they were. Thanks
