Clean interesting looking place. Unfortunately the food was ridiculously lackluster. Flavorless and dry meat on all tacos. We ordered 2 of each type of taco to try all of the options. Al pastor was dry and did not taste like al pastor. The carnitas had an odd sweetness to them. The mahimahi tasted like days old canned tuna. The shrimp was fine but lacking flavor. The tinga chicken was spicy but besides that no flavor. That seemed to be the theme with all food items, prepped days ago, dry, bland and nothing exciting. For the price point and decor youre lured in thinking will be a good experience. But end up wasting money. I couldn't even finish. The steak was basically dog food. One small piece took 2 minutes to chew.

One of my favorite taco places. Love the artwork on the wall and overall vibe. Haven't had a taco I didn't like, though the avo-taco and mahi mahi are my fave. Don't pass up the chips and guac - to die for! I do wish the tacos were just slightly cheaper (closer to $4 each), but other than that, this place is great!

The carne asada was cubed, not charred, and had a funky acrid flavor profile. The pastor was pastor in appearance only. The masala taco held a lot of promise and delivered on none of it. I'm not sure the refrigerated corn tortillas were fully cooked.
IDK who owns this place, but it's a travesty that it is rated as highly as it is. At ~$6/taco (yes, that's right) and 4.7 stars, this place promised so, so much more than it delivered. So many great taco places that cost less, have soul, and taste more than corporatized cultural appropriation.

We accidentally got here at almost closing time. A lot of places you'd expect to be turned away or have your order rushed but they didn't say anything about it and all our food was great. I really appreciate that and sorry again for us getting there during closing, I know that's annoying. I had 3 tacos, all good sized, probably only needed 2 honestly.

We stopped in while we were in town recently and wanted to try a good local taco place. The inside was beautiful, but the service was lacking. It was completely dead inside on a Friday night. The food was fresh, but seemed over complicated instead of just being well made.

Placed a large to go order and left a 20% tip. They then proceeded to give our order to another person, after reviewing it with the other person and without notifying us as sat next to the register. No apologies or concerns on their part they even said that the other person just took the bags. Bad service.

Kompas is such a breath of fresh air for Draper. Everything is excellent and the variety keeps me coming back. Service is great, but we come back for the food. Nachos, Korean steak, Shrimp, frozen horchata…all of it is delicious. Wish it was in a bit higher traffic area just to make sure we keep this gem.
