I used to love this coffee shop , however between the slow service , attitude of not caring from the workers and the fact that the last 5 times I have waited in a long line only to find out that they are out of what I would like to order has changed my opinion . Fool me once shame on you , fool me five times shame on me. I will be going to a different coffee shop from now on. Perhaps management needs to make some adjustments to ordering if this has been an ongoing issue for months.

Is it a requirement to be unfriendly to work here? Coffee shops should be an inclusive fun space. Not sure why every time I come here the workers make me feel like I am just a nuisance to be there.
Great coffee, but not worth leaving in a bad mood because the workers are such jerks.

good coffee but way too expensive. $26 total for a bag of espresso beans and a tiny latte. that’s comical, i don’t care how good the coffee is
Nowhere to sit and eat your food. All the seats are taken with people working on laptops sitting there for hours.

Pretty decent, takes an eerie amount of time to make simple toast though. 20 minutes? For toast? What's going on back there?

Loud, crowded, had to wait for a seat - ordered two cappuccinos for here (cashier confirmed they were for here,) and after ten minutes I asked if the order for Ryan was ready and the barista said “was it two cappuccinos?” (she didn’t know the name on the order,) so I said yes and she pointed to two paper cups and said somewhat rudely “I called you.” You called who? You don’t even know the name on the order, didn’t write it on the cup (next guy had his name on his tho,) and even from literally the closest table to her, we couldn’t hear it because it was so loud - plus I ordered coffees to stay, so I assumed the paper cups were not for me. Didn’t complain because it would be a waste and took the coffees to go. Yikes.
Aside from the disappointing experience, the coffee we were served was honestly very mediocre. The milk tastes a little sour. I bought a bag because the beans smelled good so hopefully I can make a better cup myself…won’t be back though.

I’ve ordered many drinks the past few months and over half of them have been incorrect. They’ve been the wrong size, the wrong milk (dairy when I asked for nondairy), missing shots, or lukewarm. A few times it’s been all of the above. I don’t enjoy paying an extra buck or three when I ask for nondairy or an additional espresso shot and not get it. I’ve lost trust with La Barba. I’m sad because it didn’t used to be this way.

I’m from Portland, OR, and it’s hard to find a halfway decent cup of coffee in Utah. The vibe seemed okay at this place so I decided to give it a try because I wanted to treat myself to a nice coffee shop experience for my birthday (really missing Portland). First of all, the place has almost no GF pastry options. Just ONE. I give my order, and I ask for a large latte for here. What I get is a cup of coffee and whole milk in a paper cup. No latte art, ratio of milk to coffee totally off (it was like drinking warm milk). Or it’s possible the shots were pulled poorly too, I don’t know. Staff didn’t even offer to redo it, just said that they don’t have large cups so all large drinks go into a paper cup (is this shop owner insane???). If you’re wanting a quality, Portland-level experience, do not come here. Additionally, I asked for a hard boiled egg with my avocado toast, and I got soft boiled. I top of that, my toast wasn’t even toasted. Just a raw piece of sourdough with toppings. The customer service is awful here, and I’m so disappointed.
If you want quality coffee, go to 3 Cups near Cottonwood Heights. That’s the only place I have found so far that is even remotely some level of quality for what you pay for, with good customer service.
La Barba has horrible quality and is not worth the price. Very sad and disappointed in this place.

They have good coffee, but the last two times I’ve been there, they have been out out of multiple food items on the menu. I went in today and paid for avocado toast with goat cheese, only to be told 15 minutes later after waiting that they had to run out of avocado. I wish they would’ve just told me this at the time I ordered instead of wasting my time. Not sure who’s ordering their food items, but this seems to be a consistent problem. Please do better.

We went Sunday morning and they were out of most of their food from the day before. So we just had coffee.
