I took the family here on a whim, and we were all blown away! I was born and raised in Alabama, so trust me when I tell you this place does Soul food right plus some! Will certainly be back

I cannot recommend Sauce Boss enough! The shrimp and grits were to die for, as well as all the other dishes I ordered. The staff and owners were very sweet and attentive. Try to go earlier if you don't want to wait too long for a table, it does fill up with people since the food is so good!

The pork shank and shrimp and cheesy grits were INCREDIBLE! Fantastic place to spend Valentines Day! Didn’t have to wait long for a table even though they don’t do reservations. There was a line at the door before they even opened so it had to be good!

Wow! Absolutely delicious! I had the chicken fried chicken and my wife had the pork chops. Both were incredible! Really moist with great flavor! The mashed potatoes and mac n cheese where also good. The corn bread was really, really good. The only thing we were meh on was the collared greens. They tasted ok, but we're just not collared green people. The service was also good even though the place was packed.

I have had a lot of fried chicken over the years. This is honestly the best fried chicken I’ve had. This place is fantastic! Everything is so good!

Came in on a Friday around 5 and waited about ten minutes for a table because they had “just seated a bunch of tables “ even though I could see 3 empty tables. Ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens. Chicken was crunchy and thin. Greens were good, but could have used a little more zing for my taste. Mashed potatoes were average and they didn’t give enough gravy. Cornbread was interesting. Didn’t taste bad but the texture was more cake like. After reading all the great reviews I guess my expectations were too high. I’d say give it a shot yourselves though!

Absolutely incredible, drool-worthy food!!
I’ve been wanting to try this southern restaurant for years. We finally did it last weekend and boy, have we been missing out!
We look forward to returning soon!

The wait time was about 20-25 minutes on a Friday night around 7:30 pm.
But their food is made hot and fresh for each person’s order, so that contributes to wait times.

Between my husband and I, we tried the fried chicken, shrimp and grits, Mac and cheese, collared greens, mashed potatoes, lemon bars, and bread pudding.
Everything was INCREDIBLE!!

We met the chef at the end! He was a humble, down-to-earth guy who created seriously amazing food!

The menus are cool too, as they have his back-story.

We were blown away at how amazing the food was!!

So good! The food is probably some of the most southern authentic food I've tasted! You cannot go wrong with any menu choice (we did the pork chops and catfish and Green fried tomatoes) and the chef cares so much, he visits the tables to check in and takes feedback. Highly reccomend!
