Wish I was rich enough to ski here everyday, powder and tree runs are amazing!
Came here for the night ski and was not disappointed. Price is not bad at all, and there are a few really good runs open at night. The lift operators were friendly and helpful, and parking was not too hard to find. We had a really great time!
We were super exited to visit this mountain , they said great conditions on there reports so we took the ride and purchased tickets went out for a few runs and it was horrible, besides most of the mountain was closed of to residents only ! They show the trails on the map but you are not allowed to ski them ! We get about an hour into the day and my son goes down because of the crunchy crap we were skiing in gets hurt , went to customer desk politely and asked for voucher for a different day , well they said no , I sent a email to managers and no response. There are way better options in Utah stay clear of Powder
As a 20+ year veteran of PowMow vacations I will miss forever the place I loved and had most of my best ski days at in 56 years of this passion.
Area has been utterly ruined by billionaire Reed Hastings. I completely expect full privatization within the foreseeable future. This has been assisted by local governments who clearly don’t care about their responsibility to constituents.
It’s a lost gem. I won’t be back and I will boycott Netflix and hope others do as well.
As a local guide I can honestly say that powder mountain has a lot of area to ski. I really enjoyed all the aspen trees.
Today was spectacular. 30°, blue skies, no wind. And the groomers did exceptional work last night!
Such an amazing amazing place to ski. It deserves 10/10. Also, if you do night ski, its only $19. We did night ski on March 22 and we absolutely loved it. The slope was nice. Snow was different ( it was like powder, hence the Powder mountain). Sun down ski place is amazing. It has multiple ski resorts as well.
Went from being one of the better resorts in Salt Lake City to being absolutely dead worst with their recent policy changes.
Went here for a snowboarding thing and I have to say not a bad resort. Not having to deal with any lift lines was really awesome as well as the fact that they finally upgraded to the RFID chips. Minus two stars for the parking lot being a mud fest. ADDING two STARS FOR THE BEST VIEW FROM THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN OUT ALL THE RESORTS IN UTAH!!!
PREVIOUS REVIEW:
My experience here was awful. I learned to ski on very different snow earlier that year and had a terrible time here. Even though I now know how to ski properly on all types of terrain, I still avoid this place.
Powder Mountain 0/5 stars
To darn powdery.
(Yes Powder Mountain if you want to advertise this you can.)
EDIT: Yes there are beginner areas that would have accommodated me much better. I was lazy and didn’t look at the website for some reason. 🤦
Save your money.

We did a day of spring skiing and boarding at Powder and it was pure bliss. Stunning views, great runs and so much space. No crowds whatsoever! We spent six days at Park City Mountain and Deer Valley and wish we’d made more time to ski & board here. What a pleasure, We will definitely be back, highly recommend.
I can’t say enough good things about Powder Mountain! I’ve spent most of the season at Snowbird, really struggling. I had three lessons there with little success. I had one lesson with Renee and am now able to ski beginner hills with confidence. I encourage everyone that books a lesson to request her. She is incredibly patient and coaches you through out the lesson, even though she was group of us. I hope this gets to corporate as she deserves recognition. I liked it so much that I bought a season pass for next year. It’s worth the two hour drive from Saratoga Springs. I can’t wait until next weekend! Thanks to Renee I fell in love with skiing today.
Deceptive ads calling themselves the #1 ski resort in the west and claiming they have the most skiiable acres. Both lies.
Rich have come in a taken over a 3rd of the mountain
Total scam experience. Heartbreaking and depressing what happened to this place. Mostly easy terrain, what made it special was that it was not crowded and you could find powder days later. Not anymore. Mr Netflix came in and destroyed the delicate balance that made this possible. It’s now just like every other place, tracked out within one hour. The deception is also great in this one, saying they will be adding terrain then backing out of it, getting people to buy season tickets and then adding parking fees, among many others. He is playing everyone for suckers and most of all, the “neighbors” he is trying to sell real estate lots to starting at two million. He says it’s going to be 600 but if he gets that far it’s going to be triple that and the homeowner fees will be over 100,000 a year. He will have these suckers by the nuts once he gets them in. Greater fool theory will be trying to sell your home to an ever bigger sucker than you. Definitely something to think about. He turned the coolest place to ski into the worst corporate scam in skiing and that’s saying something in an industry full of price gouging and tourist traps. He is destroying the valley as well, using his power to steal water out of the reservoirs that the farms in the valley need, and sending down raw sewage from his “community”. Yeah, he is a hostile force who shares none of the values of these people who have lived here for decades and hates them. There is no other possible explanation for what is is doing. You are not going to make a lot of friends at the town at the bottom of the hill living up there, I can guarantee you that.
