We actually ate there last night. It is cute and clean. A Saturday at 5 pm one table had people at it. Were told to seat ourselves. Had a long wait for the waitress. She was very sweet but unfortunately any questions she didn’t know the answer. Obviously very new. Food was mediocre at best. I had the mini tacos. They were just like the frozen cheap ones you get at the grocery store. No condiments. I asked if they had salsa. Waited about 5 minutes she came back saying they had sweet salsa. I said that’s fine. Another 5 minutes later she came back with chunky pineapple and bell peppers. She then asked if I wanted ranch dressing I said ok. My husband’s sandwich was ok but light on the meat especially compared to the think bread. Had to ask for ketchup to go with the fries. The cook/manager/owner (?) came out when we were almost done asked how everything was we said ok. I made the suggestion that they should serve guacamole, sour cream, or salsa with the Minnie tacos he said oh we have sour cream. We won’t be back. Drove down from Malad to try it.

Stopped here on a whim traveling on vacation doing yellowstone and the grand tetons but decided to drive to Idaho and Utah because we’ve never been there, It was a monday afternoon and I was SO pleasantly surprised! my friend and i both got burgers and fries which was delish and then we got a free app which we choose spinach and artichoke dip - it came with 8 soft garlic bread crostini’s and IT WAS AMAZING. the guy who was running the place was so awesome, witty and gave the best speedy but attentive service. The bathrooms were clean, and i even peaked in back to the dining area and it was BEAUTIFUL! If I was from the area it would for sure be a place i would frequent.. Thank you for the great lunch and incredible service.

I hate to be this negative but I want to be honest. I paid $2.99 for a fountain drink. The drink was the size of a can of soda. You can get a fully made drink for the same price at a soda shop 3 times the size for that price. This alone will make me not want to eat here Prices are absurd. I paid for the drink not knowing the size was gonna be 3 gulps For more context. I paid $10 for fries and a drink. Will not be returning. As that is a 4$ meal and most places

This place looks very rustic and old on the outside. Just like and old diner would. The inside was wood sided and theme oriented like a diner in the mountains. My omelet was amazing!

Pretty sure it’s against health code to have any kind of animal anywhere near a commercial kitchen that is selling food…
Not to mention, the food being served was bad. I felt bad cause the server was so kind. I really do feel like they are trying hard. It’s just not going to cut it when the food is bad and people aren’t returning.
My family and myself came through for breakfast while traveling, we had a great server and the food was fantastic!

When the bears Cafe had the previous owners it was amazing!
But the new owners should change the name because it's not the bears Cafe. And it's name is very misleading. I thought they would take over the menu if they were going to take the name. But the menu is completely different. First I ordered chicken tenders and they didn't have any so then I ordered a hotdog but they were out of buns so I ordered a hamburger and they gave me a cheeseburger so they don't listen very well. And when my burger came out it was so pink that it was still gooey. They did take it back and gave me one that was fully cooked. My daughter ordered the kids meal Mac and cheese and it's supposed to be for children but it was spicy and didn't have a good flavor. If you've been to bears Cafe in the past before the new owners I just want to let you know it's not the bears Cafe.

So be aware that the location is under new ownership and changes have been made. The original menu is gone. They used to advertise anytime breakfast and that is gone. We showed up on a Sunday looking for some breakfast and unfortunately were too late with the new changes.
The new menu, which was a piece of paper laminated with multiple sharpie updates, had multiply typo's. Or I assume Sourcrout was meant to be Sauerkraut and monster cheese was supposed to be Munster cheese.
We then decided on some nachos but they were out of chips so that was a no go.
We then decided on a spinach and asparagus dip with bread. It took a bit of time to receive the dish. The dip was decent but with large chunks of artichoke hearts. It was very rich and we did not finish it. The bread was toasted nicely with plenty of butter on it.
My wife and I have stopped here before when travelling between Idaho and Utah and unfortunately with the changes we will not be back. We wanted breakfast and that is no longer an option.

We visited for dinner and were very disappointed with the experience. We arrived at 6:30, and the timing of the food was inconsistent: our children’s plates arrived at 7:15, my plate at 7:30, and my husband’s at 7:45. By the time his meal arrived, I had already finished eating.
I ordered “The Cowgirl,” which consisted of deli turkey, bacon, lettuce and spicy mustard on a sandwich for $12?? — it was underwhelming and something easily made at home. My daughter’s mini tacos were supposed to come with fries, but they did not.
Half the menu was hamburgers, yet we were told none were available at order time (should’ve been said when we sat down and looked over the menu) but only to later overhear someone else order one. My husband’s country fried steak had watery gravy and was excessively salty, even for his taste, leaving much of it uneaten.
Based on other reviews, breakfast may be a better option. Unfortunately, our dinner experience was unsatisfactory. I’

Food is not good at all. They should invest in a higher quality beef for their nachos. The place wasn't busy at all, there was plenty of staff, and we still waited an hour for poor quality food. Half the orders of food came out and then about 20 minutes later one more order came out, we waited another 15 or so minutes for the last order. While sitting at the table we heard someone from the kitchen yelling about being surprised that something back there wasn't rancid.
Whatever you do, don't order the nachos! Beef was too greasy, hardly any cheese, menu said it came with sour cream, but the waitress seemed surprised when we told her that we needed it.

This food is so gross. I couldn’t even eat it. The biscuits were rock hard, and the gravy was just pure water. The waiter barely checked in on us, and looked like she was about to have a mental breakdown. It took almost an hour to even get our food.
Their blue coffee mugs are from the dollar store that still had the price sticker on the bottom of it. Which means they didn’t even wash them before serving them to the public. This place was a staple in our family. The place we picked over anywhere else.. now you won’t catch me dead in there.

Under new management. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks ordered, had to borrow our menus (single laminated sheet of paper) from another family, 45 to get our order, at 1 hour 30 minutes we were told that they lost our order and had no idea what we got. We were a small group, 3 adults one child, and there were only a handful of other groups.
We were not checked in on for refills, but they did have brand new tables and nice dinner napkins
