Great place for breakfast, but you can never come here without getting the homemade rolls and gravy it is their trademark. Also the fresh sweet rolls or other

Saw this on Diners, Drive ins and Dives so I was excited. New owner is really nice but the food as taken a major hit. We’ll never go back.

This place is an absolute waste of time! They call it “The Pie Dump” but do not have pies?? Only special orders….why call it The Pie Dump then? Coffee was the worse I’ve ever had too. Don’t waste your time here!

The pie dump has been a staple in the community, I think, this year for 100 years. So obviously, that right there proves what a yummy restaurant it has been. This time, I had biscuits and gravy it was excellent, and donut holes that lasted me a while and were delicious. I will always highly recommend them! They have big things coming up ahead that they're going to announce. I will continue to support their business, and you never leave disappointed. They also have a perfect spot where you can do work if you can work remotely. I give them 5 stars!

Sadly, Mac and Cherie Munns ran this place better. Ever since it was taken over by Phoenix, it has fastly ran the business into the ground. Came at 10:30, and absolutely no more pastries left. Mac and Cherie would've had tons of pastries left!! Heck, the steakhouse isn't even a thing anymore!! Mac and Cherie Munns should've sold the business to someone else who doesn't have their head in the clouds. You've lost me and my family's business.
The food was outstanding biscuits and gravy perfect. I ordered breakfast and it was great cooked perfectly ? the way I ordered. I would recommend this little slice of heaven to everyone.
Kid-friendliness: Ask the staff about the student discount.
Wheelchair accessibility: Nice and wide easy to get to.

Switched management and it’s not good. We used to come every Saturday morning with our kids. Today we stood in line for 10 minutes while someone kept walking to the front and saw us all in line, but didn’t take our order and just went back to the kitchen with the one other person cooking. Then we ordered donuts and hot rolls both of which were supposedly done and ready but we still sat and waited for another 10+ minutes to get them. And not only that, there was only one clean table. Every other table had dirty plates and cups on it but no one sitting in them. Staff wasn’t very friendly and just kind of dropped food in front of people. Just yikes. There were also about 5+ other people who all came in after us for hot rolls, but they were out and everyone just kept leaving. So if you like most of the valley come for the hot rolls, expect them to be gone. The rolls and donuts are different too, taste is just ok.

The food was fair, I liked it but my wife didn't (we had the same meal). We had rolls and gravy. The rolls were soft, possibly a little smaller than they used to be and the gravy was good but my wife liked the darker gravy that they used to have. The waitress was nice and helpful. Unfortunately they allowed a group of friends of the waitress to congregate around the front next to the seating area and ordering register where the waitress was. This was a very uncomfortable situation. They also appeared to let a person, who didn't work there, behind the counter and try to help a customer to get a glass of water. This person didn't know how to get the water or ice and wouldn't ask the waitress, who was in the back. She eventually came out front and helped the customer. I think more professionalism would greatly improve the place.

I waited 20 minutes for my food with nobody else having food taken out and almost no noise in the kitchen aside from conversation. The giant rolls are no longer existent and the prices have gone up drastically to the point where everything is almost too expensive to make sense. The sandwiches fell apart and had to be reconstructed (especially the grilled chicken pesto) and the club sandwich did not have toasted bread, which is a staple of the club, and there are better sandwiches to be eaten elsewhere - definitely not worth the price. The fries were soft and some were even soggy. They look as though they are old fries that have been heated up multiple times. It’s a shame to see the new owners taking what was once a good thing and making it more for the money rather than the community. I had high hopes and expected it to stay nearly the same cozy restaurant that it used to be but it seems as though it’s becoming just another business to the new owners. I definitely will not be coming back for a long time, I am extremely disappointed.
I love the staff that works there. They are always so friendly and welcoming. The food is great the coffee is the best part.

We have been disappointed the last 3 times we have tried the Pie Dump. The dinner is highly overpriced for small serving sizes and not very good food. They say they are open 7am-2pm but we went in at 1:30 and they said they already shut everything down and didn't have any food left but a couple of donuts they were going to toss, tried again about 7:20am and they had almost nothing ready to serve. We went with the hot rolls and gravy which have always been classic, but the rolls were hard and tasted 'day old' and the gravy was really bland. Nothing like it used to be. Sorry to say we probably won't be back.
So disappointing! Food was terrible don’t waste your time stopping here. Ice for soda was in a self serve open bucket with a metal scoop. Donut was greasy the chocolate glaze had a weird aftertaste. The French fries were heavy with grease, I would guess that the fryer is filled with very old oil. Don’t be fooled this is not the same owners featured on DDD!
It's a great place with great service and food. Everyone that works here are so nice and kind. It's absolutely amazing that us high-school kids can get quality food before having to go back to class. #foodforthought
I got their new breakfast burger and strawberry smoothie! Everything is so yummy and cooked so well! It’s been so fun seeing the new owners bring new things to the menu while still embracing the pie dumps historic hot rolls!
No thank you, sadly we missed all the greatness of the last owners when seen on DDD. This poor place is not one to come to for hot coffee, donuts, cinnamon rolls or the touted regular rolls. There was no menu as the new owner/s are working on it. Not a place to be during the school week as it’s surrounded by schools and known as a place where the students frequent. Wish the new owners good luck.
