I recently visited Mountain Peak Cafe, and I have to say, it's quickly become my new favorite spot when I travel to Gunnison. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with great recommendations. The coffee itself is outstanding, love the seasonal drinks. I also love their variety of sandwiches, which pair wonderfully with their drinks. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, Mountain Peak Cafe is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality coffee and a warm, inviting environment!
I absolutely love this fun place! it's cozy inside and the food is delish! the coffee is SO fresh and their customer service is top notch! a "must visit" place if you're in the area!

Cutest soda/coffee shop ever!! Just as many drink options as swig or sodalicious, but more! And it’s got a small town feel to it which makes it even better and one of a kind! I live in this town & have been wanting to try it out. I am so glad I did! The staff is really friendly and nice! Got the club sandwich on sourdough which was so so good with fresh ingredients. Talk about flavor! I also got a Dr Pepper with carmel and cream. The inside is adorable and the perfect hangout spot to do homework or to work. They even have gifts to buy inside which are also beautiful. We played checkers as we waited for our food which was so fun. We will be back! I’m excited to try more drinks and their delicious looking cookies and treats!

AMAZING LITTLE HIDDEN GEM!
We were driving through from SLC and you'd never have known we'd left the city by the flavor, presentation of food & drinks, and atmosphere of this restaurant! Better than any of the sandwich shops I've had in SLC!
Turkey Back Avocado on Tomato Basil Sourdough will go down in history books! Soft sourdough. Delicious flavor. Not at all stingy with the avocados like everywhere else is. Plenty big enough to fill you up. I almost couldn't finish it but letting any go you waste would've been a tragedy!
My husband loved the BLT!
Asked for a ham & cheese to be made kid friendly and they followed my specifics and it was a great size for my tween + a pickle.
Specialty drinks are reasonably priced.
Staff were so kind. Perfectly polite and accommodating to or requests to make charges to menu items to fit our kids' pallets. Getting our food was a little slow, but they had plenty of card games, and other mini board games to keep our maybe group entertained.
Only thing I'd change is the spaghetti pancakes were a little thick. Not stringy like pictured on Instagram and other reviews. Would've loved them to be more funnel cakey. But still yummy- just not as easily edible for my younger child as I'd hoped.
So good I wished we could've gone again but our trip was short.
Absolutely recommend! If you're anywhere near Gunnison- make the stop to get breakfast, lunch, or a sweet treat!!
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of seating for our group of 10. Highchairs for babies.
Clean bathrooms.
Did choices for kids were good.

Oh, Mountain Peak Café, with a drive-through so slick,
Where a quick coffee fix is just the trick.
I rolled up one morning, with a grin so wide,
And left with a story, I simply can't hide.
I suggested a drink, call it the F-150,
A name so bold, and oh so nifty.
To my surprise, they took up the call,
Now there's a new brew, that's pleasing to all.
Chunks of espresso, strong and hearty,
Perfect for a morning pick-me-up party.
The barista gave a nod, and crafted with flair,
A drink that’s now famous, beyond compare.
So if you're cruising by, in need of a lift,
Order the F-150, it's a caffeinated gift.
Mountain Peak Café, where dreams come true,
Even in the drive-through, they'll cater to you!

We ordered 6 breakfast burritos this morning and they are so delicious!!! It’s so great that Gunnison has such a great option for breakfast. The interior is darling and their drink selection is spectacular. I wish we still lived nearby. It will be a must on our visits.
Such a cute shop. Had the honey bee latte, tomatoe basil biscuits & gravy and a delightful homemade pop tart. It's quality coffee and food with plenty of options to choose from. What a great addition to gunnison!

3 different flavors of coffee all taste like warm milk I don’t know how you charge that much for something that doesn’t taste like coffee. We bought a McMuffin and it was soggy and nasty. Spent almost $30 and nothing was worth it.
