Well, here's another *really long wait even though the place is empty and when the food finally arrived it was barely decent* review.
But this one adds *30 minutes later when the waitress brought out food we got a "here you go, except we're out of one of your orders" and a "well, let me go check." (As in, I'll go look harder or something like that.) When most of the table was about done eating, suddenly the dish they were out of appeared with a "sorry for the wait, I had to make the gravy.
I totally get 'things happen' but I feel like we got a *shrug* "sorry" instead of a sincere apology and "how can we make it right?" when things took so long.
Lastly, the appetizers: avoid the jalapeño poppers, but go ahead with the mushrooms. They were *really* well received. :)

I absolutely love this place! When it comes to your original, hometown cafe food, this is what it should be. It has never disappointed. Amazing burgers, fresh cut fries, and the homemade pie.

I'm leaving a review just so the lady that was working there knows we didn't leave because there were children helping in the restaurant. We left because we were looking for mixed drinks, no fault of the restaurant. This is the second place we went to and left because it's just not what we were looking for. The menu looked great The people were nice and the restaurant is cute.

Old school country bar and restaurant. We stopped by while out sight seeing and had homemade pie, coconut cream and blueberry, delicious. The staff was super nice and attentive. Decor is old, small town, which is part of the appeal.

I've been here on and off during multiple ownerships. I got food poisoning the first time when the ownership changed. Gave it another shot and got it again. Both times were burgers.One thing that me and my wife noticed the last time their was a cook girl was in the middle of cooking when somone asked for extra pickles. With no hesitation she went from cooking burgers and handling that, no gloves, no washing hands, just went elbows deep putting her hands in the pickle jar and then pulled some out, placed them on a small dish and went back to cooking the meats.It was enough to never go back after those last 3 experiences.Used to be great. I really enjoyed the onion rings and chicken strips back in the day.
