I stopped to eat after I got out of the VA hospital ( today Veteran’s day) the waitress said the special was Chicken fried steak, we ordered it, it was great. I thought Vets ate free? They charged us for two meals, I was wearing my Veterans had.? Very disappointed.

My wife had the pork roast with mashed potatoes. I had the lunch special, Philly cheese steak with fries. Both were very good. The service was great, and very friendly. The surprise was the scone that was included with my wifes meal. It was a very tasty treat. We enjoyed lunch very much. Would definitely recommend you give Chicks Cafe a try.

This is your classic old small town diner. Fill in the blanks with extra pancakes, chicken fried steak and hand made pie. If you don't like that, please don't stay long in our town.

Biscuit and gravy was yummy, The cinnamon roll could have used more cinnamon. The buckwheat pancakes are second to none. Delish.
The food was delicious and hot. The atmosphere was warm and cozy like the places back home for me. The only complaint was how long we had to wait for our food. We waited over half an hour for 2 simple breakfast plates.
