I love the menu at On the Rocks bar. Carlos, Manu and Matt do a great job attending to customers. The service is great! Love the pizza.
I visited On The Rocks a few days ago and i was very impressed. the food was so so good, they were playing live music that night which was fun, and the drinks were exceptional. as a bartender i could tell they put real craft into the cocktails and they have a great beer menu. i had the rooster red ale and the hibiscus margarita and both were awesome.
Kiriko and Taryyn were our servers and they were very attentive and friendly, and Manny and Josh behind the bar were super fun as well. all in all we had a great time and i’m definitely going back!
Had dinner last night at Overlook at the Black Rock Resort. We have stayed here and eaten at Overlook many times. Food is always great, bar is great, live music is also nice. Strongly recommend trying the Funeral Potato's.
We ordered the beet salad and Caesar salad with chicken. The butter leaf should be a bright green and it was yellow, the chicken was cubed like tofu and didn't taste much like chicken either. We did have the charcuterie board and that was well displayed and had lovely flavors. Service was great but will not be back, unfortunately.
The name Overlook is a misnomer. All you can see out the window is more construction and a parking lot. Was hoping for a view back across the lake but was disappointed. Quality of the food was good, but was drenched in lemon juice sauce that was overpowering. Was expecting a lot more from an up and coming resort.
Wife had shrimp scampi pappradelli; she raved if this dish. My brother and I each had French onion soup and wedge salad. Soup was the best ever had anywhere (even in France!) Salad was perfect. All could not have been better!
No View! We chose this restaurant because we heard it had a beautiful view of the Jordanelle. It is actually a hotel restaurant for a 3 star hotel with a view of a self-storage facility and a construction site. If you are staying there, I'm sure it's fine, but it is not the destination restaurant the internet leaves you to believe.
Everything was fine, other than that I had read there was a view of the Jordanelle Reservoir, which drew me to the restaurant, well there was no view of the reservoir. There may have been in the past, however the view now is of a big construction site. Kind of bummed me out.
Skip this overpriced restaurant unless you're staying on property and you're starving. We made the mistake of not driving into Park City or going down to Salt Lake City for brunch. The view faces a construction site, there were 3 tables occupied at 11 am on a Sunday and the coffee is terrible.
1/2 lb burger is the best burger in town. Nice variety of menu items for even picky eaters. Highly recommend for breakfast as well. Staff was friendly and attentive. We'll be back!

I love this restaurant however, with the addition of the ice rink, the beautiful view of the Jordanelle reservoir is now blocked by a giant wall. I understand that the new addition will have 2 more restaurants that will have a better view.
The heater wasn't working in restaurant & it was very cold. I was told it's been out for 2 months & that A/C not working either. Waitress was kind enough to offer portable heater brought to our table (but this took at least half hour). Seemed odd something that critical would take do long to fix? Waitress & food were great!
Edgar abd Grant were so wonderful to us. Grant made fresh decaf coffee for me and the perfect mix of iced tea to water. Both were attentive. The food was delicious and plentiful. We will be back soon
We were here a month ago and had a great meal. This time service was understaffed. Pork chop had no sear, but was fatty/chewy and overcooked at the same time. Smothered in sauce. Another member of our party received the wrong order. Was overcooked as well. Staff offered to remake the proper burger, but we didn't want to wait 25 minutes to have the other burger come out overcooked. Server offered to comp dessert which was a nice gesture. We declined, just wanted a well prepared meal. The menu is inventive, the execution is poor. Need to do better.
This was our second time here. It was so disappointing to see the new concrete structure outside blocking the views. So much for the name Overlook. The food was mixed. My pork chop was very fatty (but still tasty) and the burrata came with a weird cherry tart. The buffalo cauliflower was delicious. I think my dining companions were happy with their food. And our wine was perfect. The service was great and the ambience is nice, but again, what were they thinking with the new building going up next door blocking the views?!?
