The Lakehouse at Deer Creek

I wish I could write an honest review about the food, however the lack of service prevented that. We arrived for our 6:45 reservation and were sat fairly promptly we choose to set inside hoping for a break from the heat. I have to assume the air conditioner wasn’t working since the doors were wide open, and it was probably hotter inside than out. About 6:15 I went up to the boat stand to see if we had a server or could get one, but no one was there. Around 7:20, a person I believe to be a busser finally acknowledged we were seated and asked if we wanted something to drink. He brought the some sparkling water we tried to order, but were told we would have to wait for our server. She came by about 5 minutes later, and we finally ordered. Our appetizer came about an hour after we were sat. It tasted fine but the consistency was like eating a fried rubber bands. We were told she would take it off our check and get us some of their biscuits (as they would be quick). When we finally bailed on the restaurant at 8:20, we still had not received our biscuits or our salad. We tried to get our servers attention multiple times to cancel our order at that time and so we could pay for our water. She never acknowledged us. I did something that I have never done at a restaurant…I just walked out. During our long wait we were told by the server that “no one had told her that we were sat,” but she visited the table around us several times and when we got the rubber band the food runner said something to the effect that the chef had to leave and the kitchen was behind. Even if it was an off night, the service shouldn’t have been that poor. I did try to call and pay for the bottle of sparkling water when I got home, but got the digital assistant “Zack” I was told told that I would be called back shortly…I am not holding my breath for a response based on the dinner service.

We held a corporate event here recently with approximately 40 people. The food was dry, tasteless and very expensive. Serviced outdoors with no covers or guards - so on top of the flies, we had sand as well.
We were celebrating a birthday and asked if we could bring a cake and were told no, as a policy no outside food or drinks were allowed. We added 2 dozen cupcakes and they invoiced $190.00.
FOR CUPCAKES!
It took days to get a response to emails with questions regarding the invoice.
I do NOT recommend.

Make sure you don't pay for the private experience next to the Lakehouse and the rentals, they dont communicate! ITS OVERPRICED for dry exposed food! Food is left out in the open to the elements (after your overcharged for it). Even my co-workers went inside to purchase food, they were disappointed. They don't communicate your lake rental requests. When you request to talk to someone regarding charges, GOOD LUCK!!! Group events are not the thing! Hosts serving the drinks were the only thing pleseant. NEVER AGAIN! - We could have sat on the lake and brought a tent and our own food and saved 10k!!

I booked there for my mom's birthday.
The food choice was limited,yet not nore than average -they still charge 25$ for a burger....
I don't think I will go again

Great service! Josh was super quick with our drinks and food. We really loved the turkey club sandwich which was so flavorful. It was so huge we had to share it. The view of the lake is the best! We have been coming here for years. Love it.

We had an incredible Sunday lunch for my husband’s birthday. Josh was such a welcoming and attentive service and we really enjoyed the poke bowl and club sandwich. Plus, the views can’t be beat.

Josh and Marisol were phenomenal!!! We loved the experience at the lake house, they went above and beyond!!!! Big plus they speak fluent Spanish too!!! They made us feel very welcomed from the beginning :)

Visting from Seattle and stopped by randomly on the way to Provo from Park City. Burger with the sweet hot relish was great on the hot deck. Pinot Grigio was refreshingly light dry in the heat and the Chardonnay was lemony 🍋 and lightly oaked. Both Josh and Dalila meet us with such hospitality service and conversation. Highly recommend this stop!
