Absolutely love coming up to Hi-Mountain and it’s very much so worth the drive out there to get the shakes and burgers. The only complaint I have is that I wish they were open on weekends.

Fun, quirky atmosphere with great burgers and excellent limeades. Very friendly staff. I would definitely consider going back.

For over 50 years we’ve been coming here and the food has been excellent. In the 70’s we would bring our kids here on Saturdays on the way back to Salt Lake from the cabin. The servers were smiling and friendly and even wore matching aprons. They would come to the table to take our orders and were very attentive. If we needed anything they were quick to please. It was a happening place with an upbeat atmosphere. The sodas and shakes were a highlight along with the amazing burgers and fries. We always wanted to leave a good tip and the kids’ highlight was the penny candy … especially the Swedish fish! We always left feeling treated like family. The next generation of staff carried on the tradition and continued to care about customer service as well as serving great food. Then about 10 years ago things started to change. It was no longer a very personal experience. For the most part the food remained great. This next generation of staff was somewhat aloof Then management started making changes to make their business easier for them. Serving customers’ needs became a much lower priority. Their hours and days open started to fluctuate. No more waiters coming to the table to take orders. Now you stand in line and feel pressure to order quickly, reading the menu while standing up. You pay then and are asked to “answer a few questions” on the touch screen, ie select a tip %. Crazy because you don’t know how good the service is going to be. Not only that, there is no motivation for the servers to be helpful or learn people skills to increase their income … and it shows. The message is “You’re just lucky we’re even open and will bring you food” They now close at 4:00 just before dinner time and are not open on Saturday’s. The chocolate soda my wife has been getting for 50 years came out with very little chocolate sauce. When she asked for a little more the 16 year old server said that’s the way we always make it and if you want more we’ll have to charge you a dollar. Penny candy? Heck no, it’s gone along with the attitude that the customer is impotent.
If the food ever starts to go downhill Granny will really turn over in her grave.

Got a burger and a vanilla shake, both were fantastic

Hands down some of the best burgers and best shakes in the state of Utah. During peak times, the wait is very long, so I’d recommend going at other times. Staff is great and it’s hard not to get one of their amazing raspberry pretzel jello shakes every time I am there with whatever I have ordered. I love this place and highly recommend it!

Very good food at a great price. Fries were fresh homemade. We got two burgers, fries, and a float for under $30. Delicious and charming atmosphere

Burgers and shakes were awesome!

Food is great and decadent. Diner line menu. Awesome they can make shakes from real ice cream. For atmosphere, an older building and shared space. Just a bit dingy and weird vibe because of that

Love this place! 👍👍 Best burgers without a doubt. The Bison burger is amazing, but is only served on Fridays. If you don’t get there early they will be gone because they are that good. The mayo, horseradish sauce that they put on it is so good. 🤪 My other two favorites are the Blue burger and the Philly cheeseburger. Hard to say which is the best. If you like Chili, you have to try theirs, it is so delicious! Grady (owner) and his staff are great. And NO, I am not related to any of staff nor was I given anything for this review. Haha! 😄

Fries had a weird flavor, burger was dry. I've heard good things about this place so I will probably give it another try.

I have been at this fu restaurant since being a child coming to the Mountains and stopping in Kamas. Excellent homemade burgers, sandwiches, salads, fries, onion rings, ice cream , malts and more. Nostalgic fun historic atmosphere. Slow down and enjoy eating back in time. Wings on Wednesday, Bisson Burgers on Friday. Closed Sunday-Tuesday. Thank you Hi-Mountain!!!

Food is alright. I'll keep coming back. The place feels cluttered with the out of place store front. Most people here are coming for food I never see anyone even browsing the store except kids that run through the isle and play on the half empty shelves.
