Grace Hunt

Great gluten free treats, my GF coworkers love them. About $5 per item (brownie, cupcake, cookie, etc). The service is often a little slow. Easy street parking. All of the flours contain nuts, but the sign says they can make nut-free for special orders. Most items have eggs. They changed hours in 2026 and now they open at 11 on weekdays.

The owner went above and beyond to help me get my special gluten-free Black Forest cake. She even delivered it after her shop had closed on the 23rd of December. She is a lifesaver, and the cake was so delicious!

I drove an hour round-trip today only to go to Sweet Cake to buy a gift. I checked the website and it states they open at 9:00am. When I got there at 9:05, there was a paper sign on the door stating today they were opening at 10:00am today.. It’s the Friday before Christmas. No time to waste for anyone. As I returned to my car, I could see an employee laughing as she knew I was there to shop and they were closed. I have always thought the customer service here needed a lot of improvement. I won’t be going back.

Ive been coming to sweet Cakes since they were a little new shop in kaysville. They used to be my favorite because you couldn't tell they were gluten free but lately I feel like it's gone downhill.
First they have jacked up their prices a ton. I definitely think it's due to their prime main street store front and they have to cover the cost of that.
Second. They have never had great customer service but it's worse lately. They never say welcome or anything, they just sit there and stare at you till you tell them what you want which is super weird. Ive gone in several times and you can hear them in the back laughing and talking and not laying attention to the front. Even ringing the bell they dont come up.
There is one worker there who is great, I dont know his name but he's super friendly and always answers any questions!
Third, the quality of their food has gone way down. Especially for how much they charge you.
Most everything is way to sweet. Majority of the things taste like they have been frozen and were not fresh baked ot were stale. Everything is overly sweet. You can only take a couple bites before it's not good anymore.
I ordered an apple pie a couple months ago and it was probably the worst pie I've had. It was all crust that was extremely gummy. The apples they used were so sour and there was almost no filling in the pie. I paod 30 dollars for the pie and was extremely disappointed.

Overall, not worth the price. But unfortunately it's one of the few solely gluten free places in davis/weber area. If you are in provo or Orem they have much better options down there!

My family likes coming here, especially since they usually have multiple vegan options. Unfortunately, on our last visit they didn't have anything vegan, except a raisin cookie. So only some people could get the goodies. It's understandable, as bakeries do sell out of items quite often, however the customer service this trip was awful. The girl who helped us was so unfriendly and the other teenagers behind the counter were yelling and dancing around so it was hard for her to hear our order. Overall, out was a pretty disappointing trip.

Went in to buy sweet treats from the freezer. There were two signs that said Freezer Sale. Bars were to be $2.50, the employee said no that is wrong. I mentioned it again and she said the sale is not right. We were charged over $16 for 4 bars. Very disappointed in the customer service and not sure if I will return.

I love this bakery some of the best gluten free items I've come across. Ive been a customer for years now.

Some of the cons however are: They are really pricey especially for full size items and the staff is not very knowledgeable about the items they sell. I would say 90% of the questions I ask go unanswered or I'm given the wrong answer even basic questions like ā€œwhat in this cookie?ā€. Which I'm sure could be frustrating for someone new to the shop. All in all I still recommend you give them a try their lemon cream pie is my favorite item.

The place was cute, the customer service was great. We ordered a pumpkin cinnamon roll, a sugar cookie, and a pecan bar. Unfortunately it was all just SO sweet. They could cut the sugar in half easily. The textures definitely were ā€œgluten freeā€. In my opinion, the best gluten free desserts are when you can’t tell they’re gluten free, and you can definitely tell. Take a double shot of insulin before you plan to come here…

I got three items, a cupcake, cookie, and a ā€œmud henā€. They were good, but not great. For the price I don’t know if it was worth it. They also had their seating area completely closed off, not sure why.

Food is ok but customer service is unwelcoming, unfriendly, and makes you feel as though you are a burden to them. I’ve been back several times in hopes the vibes would be more welcoming, but unfortunately, every worker seems unhappy, and passes that on to the customers.

Customer service is severely lacking. I called ahead to pay for items to be set aside later for my husband to pick up. When my husband arrived they handed him 2 items out of the case, and did not give him the 3rd item. When I called they would not refund the item. They said the manager would call me the next day. I have made 2 additional phone calls and no one has returned the call.
