I really enjoy the new options available. The last few times I have gotten the fajita veggies on my salad. Delicious!

Everytime I go to this location I feel rushed and the employees don’t listen. Like today I asked for soup and the guy just adds the meat he thinks I want. I know most get shredded chicken but I wanted something different so when I said no chicken he got upset at me and rolled his eyes like it was my fault. Also, when the lady started to add condiments like guacamole and other things I said on the side and she just started to add
The guacamole and before I could say pico on the side she threw that in there so I said again on the side. I didn’t want to have them start over again as I already had to when the wrong meat was added. After paying I sat down to eat it and the soup was ice cold! I just stop eating and took it to warm up later. My mom got a burrito and I must say for the amount of money she paid she definitely did not get enough of rice, beans or meat.
Every time I come here no matter what I order it gets messed up with them putting things in my food I do not want and no matter what I order if it’s soup, burrito or queso my food is never ever warm! I feel like they just want to get you in and out and do not care how you want your food prepared.

I love Cafe Rio and this location is one of my all time favorite places, the employees are always so helpful and kind and the Horchata is amazing! I never have any issues with this location.

Order two night in a row. First night didn’t get the burrito. Total flop.
Second night we reorder, trying to fulfill that craving. The burrito came but the double black beans with sweet pork turned into a rice only burrito. Absolutely garbage.
I’m starting to believe they have a secret vegan. Trying to forcefully make people eat only horrid things.
All jokes aside aside we’ve ordered here constantly for the last 3 years and the quality of the food and service has absolutely tanked. Real shame.

More than an hour for delivery. $2 for half a shot of corn. The delivery dude Kathie, couldn't speak english and just guessed it was my food. I was in the lot waving down every car that came thru cuz the contact your driver phone number didn't work. Food was cold and couldn't be warmed up cus you can't put metal in the microwave. I got the extra protein I paid for. Taste good, just cold.
Edit
Found a piece of black plastic in my burrito. Don't eat here.

Disappointing First and Last Visit...
I recently visited Cafe Rio for the first time, and unfortunately, it will be my last. The experience was terrible from start to finish. The workers were not helpful at all—perhaps due to a language barrier—but the lack of assistance was frustrating. The menu board was also confusing, with steps listed for ordering that didn't seem to match the workers’ expectations. As a first-time customer, I followed the steps, but the staff seemed lost.
To top it off, I ordered for dine-in, but they packed my meal to go. The service and food quality don’t even come close to the consistency and excellence you’d expect at a place like Chipotle, which is always phenomenal. Honestly, the only consistent thing I see about Cafe Rio is the number of bad reviews. Go figure. Never again. This place don't deserve 1 star at all.
Oh, one last thing. I seriously think that the local health depart should pay this place an unannounced visit.

Food was TERRIBLE, both orders we had were messed up!
We had an Order online that had the option for the free chips and salsa with purchase of any two entrees! We had two entrees in our order but the app messed up and didn't give it to us.
When I arrived to the store they were not busy the employees just stood around and didn't come to ask if I had been helped or what the name in the order was. Management is very rude and incompetent, when I simple asked for the chips he looked at me like I wasn't supposed to get them and then proceeded to tell me that I just placed the order wrong! I work customer service! That was not customer service!! TERRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT!
Costa Vida will now get all my business!

Every single time I order from this location they get something wrong. I orders a chicken salad and a sweet pork burrito and they just made them both chicken and of course I didn’t know until I got home and my spouse cut into their burrito and it was chicken and not sweet pork. I don’t have this issue at other cafe Rio locations but this location has messed up my order too many times now

Bad experience at the Layton Cafe Rio. (Thanks Gerard) We ask for the grilled veggies on the side and we’re charged two dollars for a 2 oz size half full container on 4 meals. ($8 total) Then when we ask if we maybe they misunderstood and charge us for a side, not for simply getting an litem on the side, they gave us a bs excuse that Online it’s free but if you come into a location, it’s not. Although they have no signage to back up that statement. yada yada yada. Just know management will come up with any sort of bs answer at this location.

Loving coming here! This cafe Rio location is always clean with many seating areas inside or outside! The employees were welcoming and quick to serve! I got the sweet pork salad topped with Mexican corn and my husband got a steak bowl! Ingredients always taste fresh and delicious!
Sad to say if I was to give this cafe Rio 0 stars I would. I got a steak salad and literally got only 4 pieces of stake. When I asked for more skinny guy with glasses got an attitude and literally gave me one more piece of stake. Paying $20 + dollars for little to no meat that comes in a meal is outrageous. This location is ALWAYS stingy with their portions when it comes to everything, specially the steak or the sweet pork. Definitely would prefer Costa Vida or sadly even McDonald’s with how much we pay in comparison to the food we get. 2/10 rating…

Very solid franchised Mexican cuisine, boosted by the pleasant surprise of high quality tortillas and scrumptious protein variety.
But not so much better than it's a solid 25% more expensive than peer restaurants. Don't get me wrong, the portions are generous, customization is easy, the final product satisfying, and it's fast.
But that's par for the course for Mexican / Tex Mex. Bottom line, shave off a few dollars, and it would bound to the top of the list.

The food was alright, the staff wouldn't listen, we had to say kids quesadilla 4 times and they gave us a chicken bowl. When we said something the response was oh and then they moved on. We weren't listened to. Pretty sure they didn't put it to the fundraiser we were there for and the only reason we went but not 100% sure didn't get a receipt. We didn't push any further as it was a family night and didn't want to hold up the night but definitely the worse service I've had at Cafe Rio.
