As a single person, I get to go orders quite often. I came in today went to the cashier’s desk and gave her my order and as I signed my receipt. I thought it was a couple dollars more than it should be, but I thought well maybe the prices were just higher than I thought. But when she gave me my receipt, I looked and I was charged a $2.80 packaging fee!! There was nothing posted to tell me about the fee. The cashier did not mention there would be a fee.
I spoke to the cashier about it right away. She said there’s nothing she could do about it. I asked if I could cancel my order she said no.
There is no way in the world my order could’ve used anywhere near $2.80 worth of paper goods!
I feel this is really poor customer service!

The carne asada taco was absolutely outstanding! The beef was perfectly seasoned and grilled with just the right amount of seasoning. The tortilla was fresh and warm, complementing the meat beautifully. What really elevated the experience was the salsa—spicy, bold, and packed with flavor. It had the perfect balance of heat and tang, enhancing every tortilla chip. Truly a must-try for anyone who loves classic Mexican flavors done right.

My fajitas were disappointing to me. Other guest at our table liked their plates ok.
I've really liked this place in the past. But this most recent experience was disappointing. To start things off, in a mostly empty restaurant they placed us by a kitchen entrance, almost immediately I was hit by a swinging door while sitting in my chain. When we asked to be moved, they seem annoyed, moving us to a tiny round both of a seat. Leaving many of us feeling squished. The food was mediocre, my Carne Asada burrito seemed to lack in steak, and the Chille Verde was only green sauce. My family indicated they were also disappointed in there choices. Again if l this is NOT normally the case. I would normally give this place a 4-5 start rating.
I don't recall if the server check on how the food was and only came by to check on us once after receiving our food. Well, this may be the last time we go to Cafe Sabor.

The restaurant was full on a Thursday night. I ordered chicken mole. It was savory. I left full; portions are decent, not massive. My partner took some leftovers home. The atmosphere is lively. Beans, rice, and house salsa were all tasty.

We ordered nachos and a sweet pork quesadilla. Forgot to take a picture of the nachos cause I was hungry and dived into them ASAP.

My burrito had what tasted and felt like old reheated many times beef and not much of it, mostly filler rice.

These people are straight from HEAVEN!
We have been going to this restaurant for four years! We have been to other Cafe Sabors and we love them, but NONE compares to this restaurant in Layton!
The service is ALWAYS prima and the food is good enough to smother all over my face!
We dined in tonight and were served by Marcella. She’s absolutely the BEST! I love her face!
We ordered the Camarones al a diabla, carne tempiquena and a chicken nugget kids meal! My kid actually ate it and loved it! It was probably the best chicken nugget meal that we have ever ordered in a restaurant!

Just was not the best food. Mexican pasta does not go together for me. And our server was short with our group. I will not go back. To many places that are good.

I ate there last night in Layton with some friends of mine and it was probably the worst the food has ever been, I think it sat back in the kitchen because there was one waiter doing everything. He could hardly keep his head above water. Layton location just has not been as good for a long time. It was hard to even give any form of a tip.
